Perks Moderator | 594 comments You can play BINGO in a team, or as an individual.

How to Play
◈ Start a new discussion thread in this folder with your team name (or if playing individually, your name)

◈ Get "BINGO" by reading books for five squares horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to create a line (there are 12 possible lines). Books need to have a "read date" after the date you begin (start date doesn't matter).

◈ Only one book per square. (i.e. If you are playing in a team, you read books to cover the squares as a team)

◈ "Free Space" square means you can read any book

◈ There are no requirements on book lengths, or re-reads

◈ Once you or your team finish your BINGO card, you can play again, or move onto the next BINGO card (new cards will be posted progressively. Feel free to send your suggestions for cards to this moderator account!)

◈ You can copy this spreadsheet as a template to track your/your team's progress if you like

◈ Once you have finished your BINGO card, you can download our "Bingo Button" to display on your profile, your blog, or in our BINGO Button folder :)

FAQ
Q: How big can our team be?
A: Totally up to you

Q:How do I find a team?
A: You can ask your Goodreads friends, or post in this thread for team mates

Q: How long do we have to finish?
A: This is a freestyle challenge, so you can set your own goal of challenge length

Q: If in a team, does every player need to read the same number of books?
A: No, it is up to your team how you want to divide the tasks

No. One book per square

The current bingo card (#1) is cover items, so they are all items that need to be on the cover

I'm going to say no, because I think for a person it should be a body

message 19: by Karen ⊰✿, Avaricious Reader (new)

Karen ⊰✿ | 3767 comments Fantastic book, but I just checked my copy and it is definitely a skirt, top and jacket, not a dress

Tiffany (shixam) If we're in groups that don't seem to be responsive anymore, but we want to keep participating is it okay to start our own individual thread? Or is it too late once we've joined a team?

Sure, you can make your own or we can change the team name to an individual, up to you

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 871 comments For the words in the title (Bingo Card #3) a few questions:

- can we use subtitles?
- are series names okay?
- does it need to be the word itself in the title? Or for example, for "water" can we use a form of water like "sea" or "river"? Another example would be for "name" can we use someone's name like "Mrs. Polifax" instead?

Thanks!

subtitles are ok
series name - no
it does need to be the actual word. so water (not lake/sea etc.)

Karin ◈ Once you or your team finish your BINGO card, you can play again, or move onto the next BINGO card (new cards will be posted progressively. Feel free to send your suggestions for cards to this moderator account!)

So, do you mean we have to finish an entire card to finish it (I see now that I can work on more than one card at once) or is it doen if I get a 5 in a row bingo?
I see that I can work on more than one card at once.

message 34: by Kristie, Moderator (Retired) (new)

Kristie | 5927 comments I believe it's just a 5 in a row Bingo, Karin. Though, you could feel free to make it a coverall and complete all the squares.

Thanks, I'll go for 5 in a row to complete, but if I end up getting more than one 5 in a row on a card, I will. I would rather do this in a year than keep it open ended too long :)
