Just posted another review. I am hoping to read at least two more for this challange (both BR's).
Sorry I haven't been on and reading much lately, my puppy got really sick so I've been spending most of the time at the vet and cleaning her off cause she keeps popping all over herself ):

I don't understand what math they're using, without these "adjustments" we're at 169, and they're at 150, how would we still be losing? And how are they beating every single serious team with less points then everyone?
There was a warning yesteday that if people on the medium teams had less than 4 points they were being removed. I've no idea how adjusted works but it killed us :(
It doesn't make any sense that they're beating every serious team, when the leading serious team has 200 points without the adjustments..... That's what I'm confused about
If I review a 4 point BR do we get like 40 points for that or what? I'm really confused
How many would we have to read in order to catch up? Very confused right now lol

I can try and get two books done between tonight and tomorrow
I think I'm going to finish this book today and then read one or two of the "A shade of vampire" series.. They only take me like 2-3 hours to finish so it'll be an easy couple points :b I messaged Sarah asking how many points we would need to get to catch up
Honestly this kind of erks me. We have been winning all month, and then all a sudden we are losing. It kinda makes me not wanna read anymore this month.
Same here. How can team tiger be winning against us and all of the serious teams, even though the winning serious team had over 200 points and tiger only had 150? I don't understand how it worked at all. You would think that they would just add some extra points per member lost
Exactly. I understand they are trying to make it fair, but these does not seem fair at all.

Its points, and I feel the same way. Like I dont think I would be able to read evwn if I wanted to right now.

And I'm pretty sure Heather would be posting more reviews at the end, so I think it was unfair to remove her so early.
I just dont understand why we dropped in points for losing someone, and other teams points went up when people got dropped.
Yeah I'm pretty sure heather had more reviews to post but couldn't get on here. Whatever, I still say we won, so good job everyone (: we did great. And yeah I'm not too eager to read anymore either lmao
I do have to say, it sucks being on the other end of this too though. Where you're missing a bunch of members or people aren't posting, it is nice to get that extra boost with the adjustments. There's no way for them to please everyone.
I know I am not mad that they did it but it did make all the work seem liked it didnt matter. So I feel like I shouldnt rush through another book that, with this adusted points, will not do nothing for us.

Yeah. I will wait for that I guess. If it is a doable number it might get me to read.
Well I just have one book I'm reading now. It's only worth 2 points, so I won't rush it. If I don't finish, I don't really care. lol
The one I'm in the middle of is 4 points but idk if well even be able to catch up now. Ugh, 2 days before it's over too...
Too many times I've been on winning teams that were robbed in the final days of the challenge... I've been doing these for a year and have never actually been in first place.
This is from Sarah: I don't think you can catch up at this point. Your team read 365 books so far this year between you, so your points score is divided by that number. points/365 = number
number x 1000 = adjusted points
adjusted points / 1000 = number
number x 365 = points
0.65217 x 365 = 238 points
that sucks :( now i feel awful for not pushing myself even more :(
There's nothing we could do since it was based off of how many books each member read for the entire year, not just the month /:
Don't feel bad. For me, pushing myself too hard can take the pleasure out of reading. Don't do it if it isn't fun for you.
Thats BS we are gettong puniahed because we are reading. Isnt that the whole point of these challanges?

Not to mention I barely used this app before this challenge, so half the stuff I've read this year isn't even posted on here...
Sigh...that's really dumb but I kinda saw it coming. I remember Sarah saying she was going to do adjusted points and I immediately felt nervous about that. I don't know. Overall, I feel like we did win this challenge for medium anyway no matter what happens on July 1st.
I agree! We won the number of points this month fair and square, the adjusted is more winning a yearly points challenge. So I say we did great and everyone on this team was awesome (:
Question: Does simply adding previous books read before June help??? Or are these points final?
I'm also wondering if Heather's reviews would help more than they hurt.
That's what I'm wondering because I have a ton of books I never put on here from this year.
I think it qould hurt us more if we added more books. To me it sounds like because we have read that many books it is lowering are score because we have read more books then other teams.
You're right Courtney :( .. I'll finish the two books I am reading then that's it..And good job reading the most books guys ^_^ it's been really fun competing along side this awesome group.. Hopefully we get paired up on upcoming challenges..
Heather, I am really sad about what happened.. You have certainly had a busy month..
