Deeply Odd (Group Read - June 2016)

Deeply Odd is our June 2016 Group Read (in addition to Darkfall).

I am currently reading this book, but I will be going offline in a few days. I will return on June 7th.

fot me it could have ended the series and left.to our imaginings.

I found I enjoyed it much more this time around. I think it might be my favorite Odd book. I finished it yesterday and immediately began Saint Odd to keep the continuity going.

Thanks Dustin. I will be anxious to see if others viewed the books differently with this re-read.

My second read, getting more detail, such as Mrs. Fisher's wild driving of the limousine as they chase of the "Rhinestone" cowboy trucker and try finding the 3 children.

I just finished "My Review". As many of you said, in a second reading you find more detail. I found end with a nice flow with Oddie finding the 3 Payton and 14 other children and help from Mrs. Fisher, Boo & Mr. Hitchcock.

One of the things I picked up was the use of infinity symbols here as had been in Odd Appocalypse

I wasn't sure where to post this but I was very saddened to read that Anton Yelchin, who played Odd in the movie died on Saturday, due to his jeep rolling over.

This is the first I've heard of that :-(
A very good actor. I've enjoyed many of his roles in films.

He didn't quite get his vehicle in park, and it somehow went into neutral and pinned him between it and his brick mailbox.

Yes, I really enjoyed him in Fright Night and of course Star Trek . I thought he was great as Odd Thomas, really demonstrating that Odd was "just a fry cook"
