The podcasts have covered material up through book 3, A Storm of Swords. How long does it take you to write the script for your podcast seminar and then produce them before release? (hint: When might we expect to see the next episode?)Bill in Nokomis.
I've listened to the first two episodes and enjoyed them. The context you provide is really useful. Do you rehearse each episode before recording, or do you just dive in?
Interesting. I like the voice. However, I wonder whether they use the materials from The World of Ice and Fire since that's like the closest history book we have on ASoIAF. In the first episode the host mentioned about The Known World only had two continents, so maybe TWoIAF isn't used yet? Also, do they listen to other podcasts first that cover more or less the same topic. Just to name a few: History of Westeros, Radio Westeros, Wars of Ice and Fire, Boiled Leather Audio Hour, A Podcast of Ice and Fire, Vassals of Kingsgrave, etc?
Love Hardcore History, so I'm absolutely stunned by how close you've nailed it. The voice cadence is prefect, but more surprising is the sentence structure, the asides, and the complete "Carlinisms".How did you prep for that? Did you make a list of statements you knew you had to get in? You've nailed some of the obvious ones such as "I'm not a historian, just a fan of history" and "It's mindboggling to consider...." What are your favorite Carlinisms? Are you working off HH transcripts and adapting to GOT?
