Allison | 905 comments We are now nearing the ending...will Skelgill and the lovely Dr. make a go of it? And what of DS Jones? What about our female serial killer and escapee?
And what's a bacon roll? How many will Skelgill eat in a day?
Keep reading along and we may find out all the answers to these questions...

Jill Tool | 992 comments Well a person can't eat to much Bacon!...lol...

Allison | 905 comments I don't think so either! I love a bacon toast sandwich or two myself.

Jill Tool | 992 comments Oh Yea Baby! Love me some bacon sandwich's! There's times in the summer that I'll fry up the bacon and make sammy's with it and that's what we have for lunch or supper! You know, that sounds good right now...lol....

Allison | 905 comments I'm assuming everyone has now finished this as we've moved on to our June pick.

A big THANK YOU to Bruce Beckham for joining us as we read his book, Murder in the Mind. We appreciate the time and insights you gave us.

On a final note, how did you all like the book? Thoughts on the intrepid Skelgill? Will you go back and read more in this series?

Jill Tool | 992 comments I liked Skelgill, it's nice to have a male dect. as the main character other than just a female that we always read. I will go back and read more, I hope the others are just as good as this one was. I enjoyed the book as a whole, I liked the story line, the characters, the pace was good, as well as trying to figure everything out. I really liked when they went to the institution, those scenes brought so much humor to the book and I liked the setting for the book. Like I said many times, great pick for the month Allison, I just wished more would of read it, I think they would of like it. Yes it was a darker setting then what we normally read, but it was still a enjoyable read, I'm going to read the rest of the series, and I hope there will be other books that follow.

Jill Tool | 992 comments I enjoyed it very very much and I hope you continue to write the series with Skelgill. It's also nice to see that he has a hobby that he enjoys going to and I think it helps him think, and his character seems to be more relaxed when he's fishing.

Allison | 905 comments So glad you enjoyed my pick Jill. I too am glad I found this series. Maybe we will pick another one of Mr.Beckham's books to read when more of the group is able to join us.

Thanks again, Mr.Beckham, and do check in to see what we're up to in the Parlour. Please do not hesitate to join in the discussions.

Jill Tool | 992 comments Thank you Mr. Beckham for joining us! I'm looking forward to reading the other books before this one in the series as well as the ones that come after this one.

That would be great Allison if we read another one and more could join us!
