Fiction probably for adults. A girl who's around seven years old gets sent off develops leprosy and gets sent off to this leper colony in hawaii in the 1910s or 20s (possibly earlier or later.) Her uncle was sent there beforehand and he takes care of her. It's about her growing up in the leper colony and later she has a baby that's sent away from her.
