Wow, she was a salty lass right from the start. Didn't slowly work up to that but yet w/her upbringing, I guess she had to have a certain amount of moxy. And it is tempered with her uneasiness in the realization of the enormity of her situation and with the burden of responsibility through her first client. She does have to prove herself or be out of a job and have a ruined rep. Good stuff so far but then we wouldn't expect less from Beaton and Raisin!

I would love for someone to just set me up in my own office, give operating expense acct., credit card, assistant and now an apt. in Sloane district. Sweet deal, Aggie!

Wonder if the man at The Ritz will later figure in the story? LOL Young Aggie at The Pink Lady club.

Had a bit of an unwanted break in my reading but hope to get back on track and now that I'm back on Aggie's first case, I continue to like it. Don't want to post much and spoil should anyone else decide to join in. It's a short one so it shouldn't take too much time to go through it.

Done! Wow, that was fast. Material at back of story. Loved the on set photos at filming of Raisin movie found on her website. Ms. Beaton and hubby and some of the cast. Interesting material!
