I liked the part with Nyneave and Brigette. She finds another seal to the Dark ones prison, and a sangreal (or whatever) that looks similar to the ones used by thenSeachan to bind women who can channel. I wonder if it can be used by women, or if it must be wielded by men. Can a man who can channel use the female one.

I like Avienda. Her interactions with Rand amuse me.

Gaul and Loial are back. They closed the waygate, but Gaul was badly hurt. It turns out Chiad is sweet on him, despite being from rival clans.

Perrin find and shoots Slayer in the chest and Lord Luke flees Emond's field, apparently with a chest wound. He's seemed the most likely suspect since the beginning. Does this confirm it, or is it just more misdirection by Mr. Jordan. I still don't remember the truth and I've resisted looking it up.

Despite Gaul and Loial's efforts, it looks like Emond's field is surrounded by thousands of Trollocs and many Halfmen. He hopes to protect Faile by sending her away with a good cover story of bringing aid from the Queen of Andor. She agrees, but only if they marry before she goes. A bit of light in a dark time. I'm looking forward to see how this arc resolves. I can't recall if it happens in this book or not though. I sure hope so.

There is a lot going on in this chapters, when Nyaneve visits the world of dreams she meets Brigitte and Randall Kane. Brigitte tells her that Moghdien and Asmodean are infesting the dream world. She also tells Nyaneve that it was Asmodean who shot the arrow towards her. So is slayer Asmodean ? or is he Lord Luke ?.

Nyaneve also remembers that it was Moghdien who made them tell everything to her. Also the thing with which the black sisters are trying to control Rand is a collar like Seanchan use.

Perrin too dreams where he sees Egwene being surrounded by women who kneel to her, Mat naked and tied to a tree where he has the black spear stuck out in his back. He also sees Rand with his eyes closed with a piece of cloth on his eyes.
