Yes! With Long Way Down I couldn't stop, so I understand postponing it. I'm glad its the weekend. Also, I need to read something for reviewing on Monday, so I shouldn't start SKoP until I finish the other, but... I am not sure I can hold myself that long.

I took my kindle to work in case I had some free time to read :D Then I realized that I want to enjoy the book, not just read it, and at work there will be interruptions. I made the right call, at home I focused just on it and it's amazing :)

How are you guys reading? I am doing it slow, okay not really, I say I want to take my time and them read a bunch of chapters. I haven't reached the 50% mark yet though ( but almost :( ), that's something. Also, I might have to have a review ready for Monday, for a book I haven't finished reading yet, and I should because even if I finish SKoP over the weekend, I won't want to read anything else for a few days. It happened with the others too. But I just can't stop thinking about this amazing characters and their journeys and everything *deep breathes*.

So yeah, how is it going for your guys?

You guys!!! I finished! I read from Friday to Monday, trying to pace myself, but I couldn't put it down! I loved all the warm fuzzies.

I am sad and happy at the same time. It was amazing to see these characters having a happy, somewhat peaceful life. I love books in which we see what happens after the "happy ending" :) I didn't realize how much I missed Lily and Lo until I started reading their POVs. I'm glad that their lives weren't magically fixed and there were struggles during these years. It made it feel more real :) I can't wait to see how the kids will be represented as grown ups. But not too soon, because in my head they are still children :D

Moffy was my absolute favorite of the kids. I loved him!

I'm not reading comments, but I'm 20% in and just the first percent had me. I <3 LiLo so hard. Then it's all love for all of them. I will say I'm pretty sure I'd love a go round in the bedroom with Connor DAMN SON!

My favorite of the kids is definitely Moffy. I love him!!!

Moffy is by far my favorite too.

I'm in a book hangover and I hate these only happens with certain series and I've gotten one from EACH of these books in this series.

I'll say it was Some Kind of Perfect (such a perfect name). Not only do I want to BE these people (all of them) I also want to be their friend/family if that were even possible. It makes me long for my own village that I will never have and that truly makes me sad.

I will be honest too, I don't understand the Damaged Like Us. 1) I can't find it to read it. 2) I don't find these kids "damaged" at all. Granted we only see the first 12/13 yrs, but I feel that each kid is loved beyond measure to have any type of fucked up childhood that would warrant them "damaged". Guess I'll just find out when I find it to read.

Definitely book hangover inducing.

Michelle - Damaged Like Us isn't published yet. We will get to learn about Moffy, Jane and Sulli in this book. I agree, it seems like the kids are surrounded by love with their families. But it must be difficult to grow up with a bit spotlight on you from the media attention. I hope they are not too damaged. But I can't WAIT to read it!!! That cover - it's exactly what I picture Loren Hale's son to look like!!

Yeah I get that. I was just really REALLY hoping they would never see themselves or feel "damaged". I wanted my happy bubble for them to not be popped. But I know life isn't that way.

Moffy is such a cinnamon roll! He's so sweet... I can't wait to read the Like Us series. And I love his friendship with his older cousins.

I also love the individuality of the kids.

Eliot and his dyslexia + love of the gothic, Tom being attracted to the cute lifeguard and wanting to fake a drown just to get a smooch. LOL. (+the fact that Tom and Eliot are the mayhem duo). Poor little Ben Pirrip being the wildcard idealist and feeling like he doesn't belong in the family. He'll probably join some environmental activist group when he grows up. Xander Hale being so shy yet cursed with looks that attract the paparazzi more than any of the other kids. (hide spoiler)]

Anythings you guys were hoping for but were surprised wasn't in the book?

(view spoiler)[ I'm kind of surprised that Samantha and Greg Calloway were not in the book at all. Not that I really missed them... just surprised.

Also, after all the huge deal Rose and Connor made about giving Jane a sister, there were NO sisterly moments between Jane and Audrey.

I was also surprised that there weren't any special moments between Rose and Winona. I know she's her aunt, but she's her birth mother and I would have thought that would give them a special relationship.

I love that they took the three older kids and told them they wanted them to watch the reality show to learn the truth about them. But I would have loved to see their reactions to learning everything. Moffy took the news of Lily's sex addiction like a a champ, but what about the others? And what did Jane think of her parents having a sex tape? (hide spoiler)]

I'm SO not complaining about lack of content. I mean, with the size of that book it's hard to think that anything could be missing. But I JUST KEEP WANTING MORE!!!
