Lindsay ACOTAR was based off of Beauty and The Beast, ACOMAF was based off of Greek mythology's Hades and Persephone. Which will the last book in the ACOTAR series be loosely based off of? The most talked about idea i have heard is Snow White and the Seven dwarfs. I believe in that one as well as the Helen of Troy/ Trojan war story. comment ideas and give opinions.

Lindsay I think it could be Helen of Troy. Think about it two kingdoms (courts) with a war that started over a girl running off with the person she actually loved. It would defiantly work with the story line SJ Maas has set up for us. Read about the Trojan wars description and you'll start having those ideas as well.

Also Snow White is a great candidate. Lucien could be the huntsman and the night court squad could be the dwarfs , plus Nesta and Elain. Feyre would have to be Snow White as she is always the female lead, but how will SJ Maas get around the whole sleeping curse? That's where i'm stumped and go back to looking at the Helen of troy theory.

Nikita Helen of Troy does make sense. But didn't Maas confirm book 3 would be similar to Snow White?

Rebekah I think I like the idea of Helen of Troy best. I haven't read up on Maas' input, so it could very well be Snow White. I mostly like Helen of Troy because she ends up with Paris in the end haha (if I remember correctly).

Helen of Troy makes the most sense to me, because its based on Greek mythology just like the two previous books are. Everyone knows about ACoMaF being based on Hades and Persephone, but Beauty and the Beast was actually based off the greek myth of Eros and Psyche, and ACoTaR is far more similar to the myth than the fairytale. It's quite a long myth to tell but you should really look it up. Basically Psyche (mortal) and Eros (god of love) fall in love, and Hera (Eros' mum, Queen of Olympus) wasn't too pleased about that, so she forced Psyche to do three impossible trials in order to allow her to marry Eros. There are are few other similarities too. But yeah, I'm rooting for Helen of Troy.

Oh wow I didn't know that about ACOTAR !That's so interesting, and makes more sense, thanks for sharing :) .

Karen Oooh, also in favor of Helen of Troy; Feyre is basically a human Trojan Horse at the end of ACOMAF.

Lindsay That's so true about Feyre being a human Trojan horse! That only adds to the theory !

She doesn't end up with Paris at the end. In the myth, Paris is killed in action, and she's then given to his brother who she betrays during the sack of Troy. When Troy falls, she's dragged back to Sparta with Menelaus. Some writers say she's then killed, but others say she lives out her remaining years with him. It's definitely not a happy story :-/

Ann I suggest looking at SJM's Pinterest. It usually has some element of what's going to occur in the next book. As for which, I don't really want a Helen of Troy theme going on, because that just means that Feyre would just sit on her ass and do nothing the last book, which will leave me disappointed. I would be interested in a Snow White retelling, though.

Karen It's kind of impossible to make a Trojan War/Helen of Troy story track exactly, but thinking about it more; the Spring Court would be the Trojans and the Night Court the Greeks.

Feyre would be kind of a combo of Helen, the horse, and Odysseus since it was her idea to go into the Spring court and the horse was Odysseus's idea; something that you think is a gift is really the means by which your enemies breach your gates. Then the Odyssey, post-war, is Odysseus trying to return home to his wife who spends her time weaving and putting off would-be suitors.

There could be a lot of interesting ideas to take from that.

In ACOMAF, Feyre was sort of sleeping (thin, nightmares, not awake to the world), but Rhys woke her up.

Lomn The end of ACOTAR was also like Cinderella (with the tasks like cleaning the floor and finding lentils in the fireplace)
