Arlo (kelcieloo) | 7 comments Hello all! I am an avid reader and discovered a lot of really fantastic book blogs, so I thought I'd try it out! Especially since I love YA novels (which I can connect to people with well), but ALSO, I enjoy gay novels, so I thought it'd be cool to find those with similar interests (don't worry, I will keep things categorized so you don't stumble onto something you don't want).

So this blog will be mainly book reviews and bookish topics. Fair warning, though, that I only have 2 posts right now. Just starting out, but working on it!

I'd always appreciate constructive criticism, book blogging tips, etc. It'd be super helpful!

Thank you!

(I also hope I made a good choice for a free blogging platform to connect with people and have fun...let me know how you like your free platform, if you're using one!)

Segilola Salami (segilolasalami) | 41 comments OK kool

Just checked it out and the only thing that stands out to me is the black menu bar. The different tabs eg home, could be more centralised to utilise most of the space

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, I don't think I can change that...or if I can, I don't know how. I think it has to do with the CSS/HTML stuff, but this is wordpress.com, so I'm limited...

Segilola Salami (segilolasalami) | 41 comments I don't use wordpress.com, so I cannot tell you how to do it but I have seen loads of other similar wordpress blogs that are centralised.

Maybe ask one of the other bloggers, if no one else leaves a comment here

A. Fae (truthaboutbooksbyafae) | 51 comments Hi Aralyn. Welcome to the wonderful world of book blogging. Congrats on taking the plunge.
Off the bat I can tell you that you may run in to problems with the combination of your book preferences. I say this because typically those who are interested in strictly YA books may be opposed to LGBT books. And I'm not sure the LGBT YA book niche is all that large as of yet - which is unfortunate. However, the two as stand-alones are quite large areas of interest.
Anyhow, I love both areas and hope that it goes well. As a side note, I just reviewed an awesome new LGBT book, Snakes Among Sweet Flowers that I reviewed recently on my site, Truth About Books by A. Fae.
I'm always looking for bloggers and/or authors to do guest posts if you'd be interested in doing that. The subject matter can be just about anything related to reading or writing - or something else if we discuss it. Contact me if you're interested.
Congrats on your new blog. I wish you luck! Hope to hear from you soon.
