The Cliffs of Tears
[[Lols, it's fine ^^ ]]
Daichi grinned chucking his ball up, "well, from the stories I've heard, the purpose is to let your heart guide you to her. If you really want to see the Sun Goddess, a door will open for you. It can open anywhere." Look down at the cliffs, he added, "Some people have found a path. Some just fall. Let's see...I think we should try and find a path first."

It can open anywhere." Look down at the cliffs, he added, "Some people have found a path. Some just fall. Let's see...I think we should try and find a path first."

"You look that way I guess, and I'll look this way. I suppose it would be good to focus on why you would want to see the Shining One," he said, heading to right and pushing grass out of the way, looking for perhaps a concealed path.

Daichi concentrated on finding the path that would lead to Amaterasu. Since he had never been there before, he wasn't sure if he would find it, or if it would actually work, but he had to believe. He was an angel after all.

And just when he was believing, Daichi tripped, and let out a small scream as he tumbled down, rolling down what appeared to be a very narrow slope. He lashed out with his arm, to conjure an earth wall to catch him, but nothing happened, indicating that their abilities would be useless hee. "Ahhhh!" he cried as he fumbled around for a hand hold to stop rolling.

Daichhi found himself halted in his downward roll. He found himself held around the waist, looking up at the sky, and blinking. "Whoa, thanks," he said llooking around them as he realised what the narrow slope was. It was so narrow, he was surprised he hadn't tumbled off it completley, and said, "I think I found the path."

Glad for her help in standing up, Daichi firmly held onto her arm, and looked down the cliff. The ledge they were standing on was very narrow, and so it wasn't difficult to look down. The drop from their position to the base of the cliff though...was extremely far down. "Well, the path is about thirty centimetres wide, and looking at it...there doesn't seem to be an end to the path, please tell me you're not afraid of heights," he said looking over at her.

"Well, that makes things slightly easier," he said, gritting his teeth. He wasn't afriad of heights, but well, he was just an ordinary guy, and he was a little uneasy. "Yeah, let's," he said inching along the ledge, wondering what the Shining One would through at them next.

He raised his brows, "no kidding. What kind of ingredients are these to be in these kinds of obscure places? I'd be less hesitant to be here if I could actually use my magic. But I suppose, it's part of the test I guess." He inched along the narrow path. He had to walk sideways, since he doubted that he would feel confident enough to walk forwards.

"Ah I see, that makes sense," he said inching his way down the path. From the looks of it, it was sloping downwards and if this kept going on, without his abilities, going the slope was going to be impossible. If anything, it would be a completely downward roll, leaving his and Chung Hei's life up to fate. He might be an angel, but even so, he thought this was crazy. Yet the whole point was to believe and have faith. If a downward roll was it, then so let it be. He looked at her, and said, "I suppose as an earth user, our abilities are less unstable. Though when I was young I was taught how to stabilise my power so that I wouldn't accidentally cause an earthquake, landslide, ecetera."

Daichi looked over at Chung Hei and raised a brow, wondering if anything was wrong. His feet inched along the ledge while his hands were feeling along the cliff wall, not just for handholds, but for some sign of a doorway. "Yeah, have faith, that's what they say, the question is, exactly what kind of door will it be?" He said sighing.

Daichi blinked, and daring to lean his head to look down at the death drop below them, he wondered how falling down that could get her attention. It was crazy, nuts, and yet, he looked over at her, and said, "I think, perhaps that could work. I guess believing in the fact that the shining one would guide us, would help too." Swallowing he held a hand out to her and said, "Wanna try?"

"Right," said Daichi, though he had no idea what kind of crazy stuff she might have done before. All he knew was, this was super crazy to him. Squeezing her hand a little tighter than he had expected, he nodded, and said, "One...Two..."

Daichi jumped at the same time she said three and felt his hear leap from his chest. THe hell was he doing? He thought to himself over and over, and then somehow shifted to believing, like truly, truly, believing that the Shining Lady of the Sky would save him and Chung Hei.

Daichi could only see the water down below them crashing against the cliffs rushing towards them. Feeling his heart racing out of his chest, Daichi felt sick, and doing what anyone who was crazy to jump of a cliff would do, he closed his eyes and squeezed Chung Hei's hand tightly expecting to hit the sea below...but instead...there was just nothing....for the longest moment, he almost expected to smack into something, but nothing. Opening his eyes, he found himself surrounded in darkness, and just when he was about to say something, something green and busy rushed up to them, and he was bracing himself, ready to end up as a pancake, when nothing. It was just softness, soft thick --really thick-- springy moss underneath him and Chung Hei, and after several bounces, he was rolling off, laying splat, flat on his face, face down on the ground.

Lifting his head to look at Chung Hei, he gratefully took her hand and stood up brushing himself down. He blinked. They were in a cave of some sort. Or rather, it was more like a really deep hole. He looked around, squinting in the dark, and said, "I don't suppose you could...create light?" He asked her dusting his clothes down as well and rubbing the dirt off his face, technically, he smudged it a bit more than necessary, and made it worse, but it was dark, and it wasn't like he could see. Plus it was nice, having the earth so slosely contacting him.

Daichi tried not to wince at the sound of the noise, but it didn't help. He sighed, and did his best to ignore it, glancing once over at the bright light, before turning away from its brightness and looking around them. In front of them, at the end of the earthy tunnel that they were in was an upright stone circle. Walking slightly jerkily, as though he expected the walls around him to collapse, he made it to the end of the tunnel where there was a short flight of stairs, "watch your step," he said to her before walking down, drawn to the stone circle. As he reached it though, a miko stepped out, seemingly from thin air, in front of him, and said, "welcome." It was a blonde neko miko, her long hair flowing behind her, as she held her hands folded in front of her, over her miko uniform.

Daichi bowed slightly, out of reflex more than anything, and said jerkily, well, he started to say so, but the Miko in front of him held up a hand. "I do not need to know. Welcome, the portal will open soon, at sunset, until then, shall I serve some tea?" Her blue eyes, wide and bright, flitted between Daichi and Chung Hei. She was just an imprint of a dead previous Miko and thus all her actions were those of the previous miko. She was still as naive as before.
Blinking, Daichi looked over at Chung Hei, and said slowly, "um...sure..."
Blinking, Daichi looked over at Chung Hei, and said slowly, "um...sure..."

The miko nodded and turning with precision, she walked to the left and disappeared through what seemed and felt like an empty, hidden gateway. Daichi turned to Chung Hei and after a moment of head scratching, he said, "let's sit." He gestured to the very out of place (yet also fitting) tea matse off to the side of he upright stone circle. Walking over first he took a seat, while the Miko returned, setting up the tea set.

The miko began performing a tea ceremony, and Daichi watched her calmly do it. He hadn't seen one of those performed for a long time, mostly because none of his siblings could be bothered. He himself knew how to do it, but he rarely took the chance to practice. When she was done, he accepted his cup as the Miko handed Chung Hei her cup. "Thank you," he said politely.

The miko smiled lightly, pleased to be thanked. It was almost as though she was rarely thanked. For a few silent moments, Daichi sipped his tea in peace wondering again how he had ended up here. Though he had had faith, he had also been happy to give up faith and stick with he cold hard facts that he had been hurtling towards the sea and a whole lot of rocks that would more than readily smash him to a ragdoll And yet, here he was in one piece. "Um, excuse me, but how long til we can pass through?" He asked the miko. And the miko replied, "not log now. Sunset is not long at all."

Daichi turned to look at Chung Hei. Then back at the miko who was simply sipping her tea seemingly with no burdens on her shoulders to worry about. Not like him, and not like Chung Hei. Glancing over at Chung Hei, Daichi wasn't sure if he should reassure her or if he should leave her to her thoughts. As for himself, it had been a long time since he had been in a situation where he must face a great power. He had never thought he would be in such a situation. It had all been just stories to believe in before.
((Sorry, school has swamped me and I only just got caught up today since they started me late -.-"))
