How exactly does the review rule work? I'd like to read The Hunger Games and His Dark Materials over the summer (book #1 in June, #2 in July, #3 in August - for both series). I've read both series before, but it was more than a year ago. I don't have reviews for The Hunger Games.

The rule is that you can reread a book after:

a) 8 month if you didn't write a review the first time, and
b) 10 months if you did write a review.

But you still have to write a new review.

It should be within 2 weeks maximum, so if it's set to start on the 20th, then it shouldn't be before the 6th.

About 120 pages. It was a BR. I posted two comments and I've written a review.

I think before when we've given points for books which were DNF'd you had to have read at least 50-60% of the book for it to count, so I'll have to say no I'm afraid.

Does a reread time span have to be a year? I have a book I marked read about 7-8 months ago but I didn't have any reviews or status updates for it when I marked it read.
