Tommy Pakula turned over Monsignor O'Sullivan's papers to the press. What do you think of his decision to handle the situation this way?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I think that, as an officer of the law, he was obliged to bring the archdiocese to accountability in whatever manner would be too powerful to sweep under the carpet.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I thought it was a brilliant idea. Obviously the Archbishop has a lot of power if he can have a revoke a scholarship or stop hospital funding. Who's to say he didn't have a lot of power with city hall and the police commissioner. The papers could easily have disappeared again. This way the story is going to come out.

I found his handling of those papers clever. It hit them where they seemed to be most concerned...in the court of public opinion.
