Maggie knew Sister Kate was off to murder Keller and had a short window to stop the plane. Did she do the right thing in allowing her to proceed? Do you think she'll pursue the case later or let things be? What do you think she should do?

Phrynne | 607 comments She did not do the right thing. That way leads to vigilantism. And we still do not actually know that he did die do we?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments On the one hand, justice has been done but on the other, no one has the right to take the law into their own hands. It is a very slippery slope.

A very slippery slope. I have mixed feelings. This priest continues to murder young boys and was prepared to kill Timmy. No one believes he's a killer.

I'm certain he's going to die, Phrynne. Sister Kate is pretty deadly.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments It's been a while since I read the book but I'm 99.99% sure that he died. Sister Kate definitely knows what she's doing, lol!

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I agree that vigilantism is wrong, but Maggie knows that she will not be able to find Keller before he would kill again, unless she got on the plane to Chicago herself, but what would that accomplish legally?

She had a hard enough time not to kill him in the motel room and she gave her word to Keller, a sad thing since he didn't deliver much, as it turned out.

On the other hand, Sister Kate gives her word that this is her last "job" and maybe Maggie just chooses the lesser of two evils. I'm conflicted and I wonder if the nun will reappear. Hopefully, those infernal computer games will end.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments It's not the right thing, but I understand her choice. She knows Father Keller will kill again and she probably won't be around to stop him. Sister Kate has chosen her victims carefully. She says its her last job and I would tend to believe her. I don't think we'll be seeing her character again.
