The only thing I could think of would be for them to have gone from the back seat into the trunk of that Cadillac, but they didn't have much time to explore every possibility to find their missing policeman from Los Angeles. I think in real life, some enterprising FBI agent might have done just that though.
I liked how all the key characters ended up at the bank. I just thought it was crazy that Ray Powers could hide in the trunk of a hot car in Las Vegas when the temps were nearly 100. Most people wouldn't last 10 minutes.
It was like a crazy Western shootout! Robin, I hadn't thought about how he had to be sweltering in that trunk.
Powers was crazy. I don't think there was much the FBI could have done differently other than what you suggest, Charlene. That would have been above and beyond.

The Wild West!I do think that the FBI could have done a better job inspecting the Cadillac. However, once the shooting began there was very little anyone could do to prevent what happened.
I like the poetic justice of it all and everyone getting their just desserts.
There was that and it was something I thought about when the dust (or bullets) settled. All the bad guys died.
