Melanie I am just going to start my June book Birdman! Slow book reading this year. Glad I'm not the only one who's a bit behind :-)

Yes, it's a pain sometimes

Life has such bad timing. I wish it would keep a regular schedule."

It's partly due to a new job and longer hours, I will just have to be more organised :)

Cool, so I am not the only one lol I was doing so well for the first 5 months that I am actually ahead with my GR challenge so hope things will settle down.

Amber Martingale Who doesn't wish that?

message 106: by Melanie (new)

Melanie Finished Birdman, my June PIFM. Thanks for choosing this one for me! Wow! Lots of twists and VERY dark! Looking forward to the next in the series. My July PIFM was a tie for the 2nd in this series and the 2nd in the Louise Penny series.

Mo Hayder and Louise Penny couldn't be more different, but both are great. I hope you enjoy their books, Melanie!

I agree Janet. It was really good. Louise Penny is so different from Mo Hayder but still good :-)

Amy (thenikitagirl) | 636 comments I just stopped into say that I had finally finished my June read and am moving on to July's. I am slower than usual these past two months. Looks like I am not alone. I seriously thought this thread would be dead and I'd be ashamed of my tortoise pace. I am happy to not be alone. I've just been so tired I get a few pages in and thats it!
Thanks for your votes and time as always. I usually love my selection but this one was a little dry for me. I liked it but I wouldn't say I loved it. I did love the character of Melanie though and can see why others really liked it. Just wasn't in my top ten. Still happy to have read it though! Even if it took a whole month.

Amy (thenikitagirl) | 636 comments Birdman sounds great guys...I will have to add it into the gigantic TBR pile!
