Oh. That was the last Davos chapter for the book. The letter was a decent cliffhanger.

LENA TRAK | 221 comments I didn't use to like Davos' chapters. I found them too boring. I recall reading and saying: Who cares??? Also I was wondering why the chapters are not told by Stanis and Martin uses Davos instead. He hasn't played an important role so far. I suspect that he will in the future. He seems like a dormant volcano about to explode...

Ria (ban1chka) | 440 comments Lena, you are right about Davos, but I think there's something else as well. Martin never makes POV characters those who know too much. Like Varys or Littlefinger, for example. For some characters it is more interesting to learn the information second hand and I think Stannis is one of those characters. Though I'd love a Stannis chapter, even if it's only one.
