Good morning all! I'll be picking this up from the Library tonight - I hope! I've tried since Saturday and something keeps getting in my way, lol!

Excited to get started.

I've finished disk 1. Loving it already. Leigh has a great ability for story telling!

Ok I've finished 2 disks which is approximately 90 pages - maybe 6 chapters?

I love it - I'm totally hooked. But I'm going to leave it here at work so I force myself to finish Reached so I can get it overwith and back to the library, lol!

Through chapter 11:

The Aparat (view spoiler)[ is a MAJOR CREEPER and I'm not sure what is UP with him??? Gah! He's obviously freaking out Alina as well. (hide spoiler)]

Zoya (view spoiler)[ I know her referenced in Six of Crows, so this is very interesting to me and how mean of her to use her power and hurt Alina. Major jealousy going on there! (hide spoiler)]

I hope (view spoiler)[ she gets some news of Mal soon and that he's ok and hasn't "given up" on her or her friendship with her new Grisha status. (hide spoiler)]

Alina (view spoiler)[ I feel bad for her that she can't summon her power on her own yet - I wonder what event will have to happen to make it available to her on her own command? And she at least seems to be learning some combat skills. I hope she starts eating again soon! (hide spoiler)]

I liked it, but unfortunately, it wasn't a major hit!
I felt a lack of action, and the characters weren't that good for me:(

I'm going to continue this series, but I can wait you all:D

Hahaha no, I haven't:( I want to finish the Grisha trilogy first, because I heard that you can spoil yourself.

So, I'm on disk 7 now, which I think is around chapter 17 or 18...

I am not going to lie, (view spoiler)[ I was so disappointed that the Darkling was really THE darkling who made the fold and not someone who wanted to END it. :-( I was really anticipating a love story of 2 great powers. I'm getting a good love story now (I think I see it blooming) and I think this will be better. But still, I was SO BUMMED! Bah. I can't wait to see if Mal and Alina find the stag and get the antlers in THIS book or not. (hide spoiler)]

I gave this 4 stars - i gave Six of Crows 5. I really thing she is a very talented author.

It's okay so far. I'm not loving it, but it just started to pick up a little.
