Bishop Prescott had a political agenda at odds with many in Parliament and others. Did you ever consider his murder was related to those activities?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I thought it might have been possible, especially since the Archbishop of Canterbury would have had strong ties and influence had he ascended to that position.

Given everyone raised these issues immediately, assuming someone in that frame of mind did it, I toyed with that slate of suspects until it was clear Jarvis didn't order it done.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Along the same lines as you, Jonetta, except that I pretty much dropped his politics as a motive once Jarvis made it clear that Prescott would never have been selected as the new Archbishop because he never would've allowed it. Prinny is just the puppet and Jarvis pulls his strings.

The only other character who may have had a stake in the politics of slavery abolition was Quillian and he always seemed too unconcerned with Sebastian's poking about for me to think he was involved.

This was my thought pattern, too. Quillian just was too self absorbed to have pulled this off.

Joanna | 139 comments No. That would have been too easy.
