thoughts while reading:Ooh the Hound!
I wonder where this hidey hole is.
"Any knight can make a knight... and every man you see before you had felt a sword upon his shoulder. We are the forgotten fellowship."
The hound makes a valid point about knights.
I wonder how he lit the sword on fire.
OK I've been obsessed with Beric D. for a while (but let me assure you, I'm not Ser Gregor). And I love love love this chapter. It was intense with the duel, and then The Hound's meltdown as his arm caught fire (no pun intended). Seeing The Hound begging for mercy has totally changed my thoughts about him. I started seeing him in a new light as an interesting, more complex, round character from that point onward. And wasn't the resurrection of Beric the coolest thing ever? Smoothly done, like a goddamn Hollywood movies. I could even hear music booming in the background when he reappeared with Thoros, donning a catchy tagline at the end of the chapter.
