I want a happy ending with everyone being equals and Darrow finding love and happiness with Mustang, but this just doesn't seem like that kind of series.
I feel like they are destined for tragedy, and I wish they weren't.
I feel a little bad about Tactus. I did like how he finally stuck up for one of his friends, but it was Roak who really sold it home. I wonder if they'll ever make up. Sadly, I don't think Roak would understand the truth.
I think it is much safer confiding in Ragnar then Mustang. If Ragnar decides not to follow him anymore their isn't a way he can really use it against him since the golds are so bigoted and wouldn't believe him if he told them Darrow was Red. Mustang on the other hand can bring him down easily and I think he can't face the possibility that she would reject him.Tactus really was sad. I think after Darrow forgave him that Tactus was have followed him no matter what. Its a shame that his family not believing in him was what ultimately cost him his life. Its unfortunate that Darrow seems to be pushing Roque away as he was a great tactician and support in the last book.
