Most air creatures freak me out. When I see a bird I can't help but think about bird mites, flus, and plagues! I know this is odd. And very inconvenient since at any given time there are atleast 5 birds in my front yard. Sometimes up to 200 when the quail reproduce. eww.

Weird rant. Anyways I am excited about any of the teams, even the air animals! Bats are one of my favorite creatures and they fly :)

I'm legit terrified of every bird possible. I had a parakeet seemingly dive bomb my head when I was 10 and I have had an irrational fear of all birds ever since.

I think the dive bombing bird would be a pretty scarring event too! I still remember being about 6 or 7 and sitting out on the front steps at the apartment complex we lived in! I got bright purple bird poo dropped on me! The bird apparently had been enjoying the berries of a local tree and decided I was a good target to aim at! 35+ years later and it still gives me the creeps!!!

Crystal, boy do I. I had a cat at one time and I would ask (beg!) the pet store to put the parrots and cockatoo (both demon birds if you ask me) in their cages before I could even go in the store. I'm not really scared of birds per se, I just don't like them. My dad used to keep homing pigeons and when one of them would hurt a wing or leg, he'd make me hold it while he doctored it. It was just so icky to feel that fragile body in your hands with its heart beating 285. I'd cry & cry -- he'd just tell me to stop and hold it steady.
My dislike started to make sense when Jurassic Park explained that birds are descended from reptiles!

Hi all!

I've signed up for this challenge and I'm a bit nervous!!

This is my first bit of activity in this group and hence my very first challenge. I probably average about 1.5 books a week so I'm fairly confident that I should be able to meet the requirements.t I'm a mum of three and work full time so as long as I don't have to read War and Peace in seven days she'll be right!
