Never really cared about unicorns, tbh. I've always liked dragons (in case I haven't made that obvious yet). I mean, they fly AND spew fire! What's not to like? LOLUnicorns are just... pretty LOL

Dragons are all kinds of awesome. But, there are other great things too. I keep hearing Reading Like a Banshee during team challenges.

Sonia the Evil Teaser strikes again!!
Most air creatures freak me out. When I see a bird I can't help but think about bird mites, flus, and plagues! I know this is odd. And very inconvenient since at any given time there are atleast 5 birds in my front yard. Sometimes up to 200 when the quail reproduce. eww.Weird rant. Anyways I am excited about any of the teams, even the air animals! Bats are one of my favorite creatures and they fly :)

I had a parakeet seemingly dive bomb my head when I was 10 and I have had an irrational fear of all birds ever since.

I was just thinking today that things like this challenge reminds me of when I was a child waiting for Christmas - it was just SO HARD to wait! Haha and the poor mods are probably like me as a parent when Christmas is zooming towards me and I have so much to do to prepare!!

Diane, I am glad I am not the only one! Sorry about your tramatic incident. I shriek when birds fly near me, my husband thinks it's hillarious. Not so much for me! I am sure you relate.

I think the dive bombing bird would be a pretty scarring event too! I still remember being about 6 or 7 and sitting out on the front steps at the apartment complex we lived in! I got bright purple bird poo dropped on me! The bird apparently had been enjoying the berries of a local tree and decided I was a good target to aim at! 35+ years later and it still gives me the creeps!!!
Crystal, boy do I. I had a cat at one time and I would ask (beg!) the pet store to put the parrots and cockatoo (both demon birds if you ask me) in their cages before I could even go in the store. Oddly enough, I love all types of snakes. People think that is weird for some reason. I don't understand it. *shrugs shoulders*

My dad used to keep homing pigeons and when one of them would hurt a wing or leg, he'd make me hold it while he doctored it. It was just so icky to feel that fragile body in your hands with its heart beating 285. I'd cry & cry -- he'd just tell me to stop and hold it steady.
My dislike started to make sense when Jurassic Park explained that birds are descended from reptiles!
If we are captain or co captain we will receive the information in private message? And for the teams will we receive the name of our partners in private message too?
I'm not fond of birds either, ever since a toucan attacked my hair...
I've decided I would like to be on a chatty team. Whats the point of a team challenge if you don't talk to your teammates? lol

Hi all! I've signed up for this challenge and I'm a bit nervous!!
This is my first bit of activity in this group and hence my very first challenge. I probably average about 1.5 books a week so I'm fairly confident that I should be able to meet the requirements.t I'm a mum of three and work full time so as long as I don't have to read War and Peace in seven days she'll be right!
So, is it still possible to request to be on the same team as a friend? I wasn't paying attention when I filled out the form, and forgot to ask! Would I PM someone?
