Beela I think first the Faes have to find peace within themselves.
And yes, Feyre needs to remember where she belongs. I want to see some butt kicking so bad!!!

message 252: by Beela (new)

Beela When were they killed? After or before Tamlin's father killed Rhysand's family? And why?

message 253: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 128 comments Rhys's family was murdered first by tam and his brothers and father... then Rhys and his father retaliated by killing the dad and brothers... tam's mother was never meant to be murdered.

message 254: by Beela (new)

Beela Why is Tamlin mad then??? If he is really a beast at heart then he would realize that Rhys wanted revenge and relate. He has no room to be angry.
I'm sorry for ranting. I just really don't like Tamlin. I feel like I was tricked because I really liked him in the first book.

message 255: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) Idk Tamlin is just really unreasonable

message 256: by Beela (new)

Beela Amen
He does have good hair tho. That's his one redeeming quality XD

message 257: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 128 comments I'm sure we will find out all about Tamlin's anger and unreasonable reasons in book 3... Don't try to make sense of him because he has none. I mean honestly to go to the King of Hybern to strike a deal all to get Feyre back is just BEYOND....

message 258: by Beela (new)

Beela He's incapable of anything that involves thinking. He does the same thing over and over again but he expects different results. HE'S INSANE!! and then he blames everyone else.
Tamlin the two year old.

Can we just take a second to pat Maas on the back. She is SO good at making characters and making her readers feel what they are feeling.

Alexis (TigeroftheTowerGuard) | 356 comments Closed minded, can't think for himself, afraid of charge. essentially a bully an a coward.

I mean in a redeeming way, but still die."

Haha! So bloodthirsty xD That isn't critism, btw. I agree with all of you, completely.

message 261: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 128 comments I do get a tad bloodthirsty!

message 262: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) Lol same

message 263: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (TigeroftheTowerGuard) | 356 comments So vindictive. I love it.

message 264: by Beela (new)

Beela He'll probably die saving someone from the King.....I personally want Rhys to drop him from the sky into a pile of cow manure

message 265: by Beela (new)

Beela Thanks :)

message 267: by Jess (new)

Jess | 51 comments Does anyone think that Ianthe and Tamlin are going to be a thing if he doesn't die?

message 268: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) I honestly don't think anyone would fall in love with Ianthe, so....no

message 269: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) I would be okay with Tamlin living and Ianthe dying. SOMEONE has to be High Lord of the Spring Court. As long as Tamlin learns his lesson, sides with the Night Court, and patches everything up, then I don't mind him living. BUT HE MUST REDEEM HIMSELF.

message 270: by Jess (new)

Jess | 51 comments I think that Tamlin will redeem himself, but I dot think he will get a happy ending. As long as Feyre doesn't feel sorry for him or something while she is in the Spring court.

But lol I agree that Ianthe needs to die.

message 271: by Jess (new)

Jess | 51 comments Maybe Lucian and what's-her-name Feyre's sister will rule the spring court if Tamlin dies.

Is that possible?

message 272: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) OMG Lucien and Elain ruling the Spring Court sounds awesome

message 273: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 14 comments @Bella I thought of ash and dust because of the inevitability of what happens during war. will the court system survive will the spring court even be around at the end of all this?

message 274: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 14 comments also does anyone have reference from the book that Calanmai took place I didn't catch that and assumed that would be in the third book especially since in the first book Feyre wasn't chosen during the rite.

message 275: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 14 comments "A Court of Mist and Fury (A Court of Thorns and Roses)" by Sarah J. Maas

"Cassian stirred again, his shredded wings twitching and spraying blood, his muscles quivering. At Nesta’s shouts, her raging, his eyes fluttered open, glazed and unseeing, an answer to some call in his blood, a promise he’d made her. But pain knocked him under again."

This was one of the passages I thought really gave the idea they were going to be mates

message 276: by Beela (new)

Beela Yeah, that makes sense. That passage show he really cares for her

message 277: by Beela (new)

Beela Shows**

message 278: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 128 comments @ Jamie... theres no reference in the book BUT SJM said in a Q&A that Calanmai happened while Rhys and Feyre were in the cabin.

message 279: by Beela (new)

Beela Was that why they were so primal? Or was it the bond? Because the bond was only a bargain bond

message 280: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) Jamie wrote: "also does anyone have reference from the book that Calanmai took place I didn't catch that and assumed that would be in the third book especially since in the first book Feyre wasn't chosen during ..."

There is no reference of Calamai happening in the book. But SJM said in a Q&A that it happened while Feyre and Rhys were in the cabin they f#@%$d....so...yeah

message 281: by Diane (new)

Diane (mystifiedswift) What do think would happen if Celaena/Aelin was in ACOTAR rather than Feyre? Would she die too? Would she be totally badass? I personally think that wouldn't even have to take the tests and saves everyone because she is an amazing assassin fae.

message 282: by Tristen (last edited Jun 06, 2016 05:32PM) (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) This would be the result of Aelin in ACOTAR instead of Feyre...

my link text

message 283: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (TigeroftheTowerGuard) | 356 comments Fried Worm anyone?

message 284: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) **Wyrm

message 285: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (TigeroftheTowerGuard) | 356 comments Hmm, ACOTAR uses worm, ACOMAF uses wyrm.

message 286: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Victoria Tristen wrote: "Jamie wrote: "also does anyone have reference from the book that Calanmai took place I didn't catch that and assumed that would be in the third book especially since in the first book Feyre wasn't ..."

Haha. Take that, Tamlin!

message 288: by Victoria (new)

Victoria I think Nesta might be like Amren and that Amren will find her home.

message 289: by Beela (new)

Beela Nesta and Elain definitely (I think) will fit in with the crew

message 290: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) YAAASSSS...it would be so cool if they joined the Court of Dreams

But then I feel like the boy-to-girl ratio will be uneven.

message 291: by Emma (new)

Emma I'm chuckling at the idea of Rhys, Azriel and Cassian having to deal with all these headstrong women

message 292: by Tristen (new)

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) Lol

message 293: by Jess (new)

Jess | 51 comments Hehe! I feel like Azriel might open up to Elain cause she is so sweet and understanding (and that might make him feel worthy Mab) AND I ship Cassian and Nesta so bad

message 294: by Megan (new)

Megan Cheang | 142 comments OMG! I just realized... Alis! What if after Feyre was taken, she returned to Summer Court. There, she informed Tarquin about what Tamlin had done, and that is how Tarquin knew Tamlin locked Feyre up???

message 295: by Victoria (new)

Victoria I thought when Feyre saw the Bone Carver, she was seeing Dorian as a boy and that someone from either TOG or ACOTAR will find wyrdkeys and travel to the other realm and help with the problems.

message 296: by Natalia (new)

Natalia (ravenandthehawk) | 387 comments Can someone please remind/explain to me what Calanmai is because I'm so confused.

I thought she was seeing a young Rhys...it makes more sense

Tristen (bo0kenthusiast) Natalia wrote: "Can someone please remind/explain to me what Calanmai is because I'm so confused."

Calanmai, otherwise known as Fire Night, is a holiday in Prythian that marks the start of Spring. It involves bonfires, drums, and the Great Rite. The Great Rite takes place when a High Lord allows powerful magic to enter his body, and it takes control of him. The magic will make the High Lord search for the Maiden. The Maiden is a female who will partake in sexual activity with the High Lord, which will result in the release of the magic. The people of Prythian depend on the magic released from The Great Rite to grow their crops.

In ACOTAR, Feyre is told to stay inside the manor while the rest of the Fae gather for Calanmai. She ends up disobeying and goes out anyway. Before the Great Rite, Feyre is caught by three Fae who have "bad intentions" but she is saved by a beautiful man, who we later learn is Rhysand. After her encounter with Rhysand, Feyre is found by Lucien who takes her back to the manor and explains what Calanmai is. In the middle of the night, once the Great Rite is over, Feyre goes out for a midnight snack and is caught by Tamlin who is still lust-fogged. Then there's a whole steamy scene and.....yeah

message 299: by Beela (new)

Beela Short version- male and female have animalistic sex and crops grow because of it
