Invision (CoN #7)

I have no idea about the Timeline haha i gave that up long ago. It's being tampered with by several different people and is basically corrupted, i wouldn't trust it too much as is never mind once the series picks up. I asked Sherry these same points once and she said Nick was definitely 24 when he died, so im saying 24 :P

More importantly, so do her children. =)
Unfortunately, Valerius does not make an appearance. He is merely hinted at.

I will teel you the part about Bubba's dad since it appears in the latest exeprt prior to the book release (view spoiler)

Hold 2/2 dang I'm hold 32 lol.

1) They're not happy about everybody being related to everybody. They think it's getting beyond ridiculous.
2) They're not happy about the confusing timelines and memories
3) They hate having to write post it notes of the different pantheons and their family members, and how in the heck it all connects.
4) They don't like how huge spoilers were just dropped in there and glossed over, as if it was no big deal.

Yup, I agree with all the mentioned flaws. I don't mind the confusing timeline and memories as long as it's explained, but right now it's just that... confusing. I have the bad feeling we'll have to wait to have the final book in both series to finally be able to understand exactly what happened.
And on the subject of post it notes... I actually have a whole file dedicated to the DH unverse, where I write down everything. it's the reason it took me two days to read Invision, while usually I would inhale a book that short in around 10 hours.
It's starting to feel like I'm preparing for an exam lol.

I haven't had time to read every single post in the thread, but I think I've got the gist of it, and I've got something to add about the timeline issues, which I don't view as issues at all.
Timeline: (view spoiler)
And now for Jaden. (view spoiler)
Monakribos: (view spoiler)
Styxx: (view spoiler)
I think that's it for now. I have to get ready for work, and I'm going to see Civil War tonight.

Totally agree with your opinion abou the timeline. Kody's future doesn't exist anymore which makes me wonder what is going to happen to her mhhhh???
(view spoiler)

Yes, it was Valerian and Annabelle. Val actually appears, and Annabelle is mentioned. =)

Those of you who haven't read Invision yet, read this post and all following posts at your own risk. ;)
I do agree that Nick managed to change the timeline when he picked his new generals. So now what remains to be seen is how it will meet up with the DH timeline. And Kody's timeline apparently no longer exists.
Or does it?
Going back to Illusion, when Kody remembers the Arelim recruiting her and they show her what happens after she dies, I find it interesting that it's never specified by the Arelim which Malachai is destroying the world. They either use "the Malachai" or "that animal".
Now let's suppose that it really was Nick that was killed in that vision, the one where Kody insists that it was her brother. What if the Arelim had somehow tampered with her memory of that scene--which appears to be a lynchpin event (or pith point) so that she would be inclined to hunt and kill the Malachai?
That's just a possibility that's floating around in my head, no clue how plausible it is. XD

Maybe they sent her because she was the only weakness that ever surfaced for a Malachai. Maybe they wouldn't know how to kill Cyprian, so they tried to kill his father instead. After all it doesn't matter if Nick was good and fought on the right side, he was still the reason Cyprian was born.

We also need to remember Kody is a ghost, and we don't know what Sherri's ghost rules are in CON. It's quite possible that she's now trapped in the changed time-stream. Unless, of course, Charlotte's theory is true and the way she remembers things going down isn't at all what really happened and Nick's new vision is what really happened.

From what I understand about the Arelim (someone asked Carl about this either on FB or the official site), they don't view time the same way we do, so I can see how Kody would be capable of existing outside of her own (no longer existing or relevant) timeline.
So I'm considering this a plausible theory, too. =)

Those of you who haven't read Invision yet, read this post and all follow..."
I think this makes a lot of sense. Here's some more food for thought though, Nick and Cyprian seem to be alive at the same time. If we use the battle Kody remembers as reference and it was Nick and not her brother, then we have 2 Malachais in existence, with the Father surviving longer then the Sons 10th birthday. What do you guys think?

Maybe the same is true with Nick and Cyprian.

I appreciate the Dark Hunter fans who possess a keen insight into the confusing parts of the books.
Rachel you definitely fall under that category.

I agree with all of the above. I think it's gotten way convoluted. The info is interesting but I have to wonder, what is she going to do when she gets to these points in the DH books. A lot of the adult DH readers may not have read the CON books so they will be left wondering about all this info. Unless she repeats it in the DH books.

but I still think SK should give us these info in the DH series as well coz she always says we don't need to read CON and it won't affect the series but there were a lot of stuff became clearer to me after reading the YA series the same as in Lords of Avalon I also read it to make sense of the last two books in DH,
and after all that it still a confusing world but well more books more fun I think :)

Actually, a surprising amount of the info is in the DH books, most of it in the form of hints. I'll admit though, that some of the hints are very subtle. But I also imagine that more of the info we see in CON will be showing up in the DH world before too long ... ;)
But you're right, it does help to read the spinoffs, CON and LOA. =)

Family ties are driving me bonkers. Will agree with you Misty about just being told. But I think SK is doing that to spare time/additional words to explain things. After all give Nick the powers of all knowing about everybody, saves time on some level.
Major awww to all the babies of peeps we know in some version of the future. I am mad desperate to know about who Simi's baby daddy is and who the hell is Nick's baby mama!!! Damn where is a Maury Povich character up in here ASAP!
As for everything else I'm just chalking it up to this. In some reality Nick and Kody or Nyria whatever her name is. Are meant to be together. Their fates are tied up like Styxx and her mom. So regardless of who and what time Kode comes back in, she will always find NIck. Which means if I don't like this version, can always hit reset and will get another version I like down the road, woot!
Everything else, all I can say is nobody should be trusted! And oh yea, I'm pro Caleb doing an at home vasectomy on Nick. Cause the less you breed in this world, the more likely you won't be related to half your enemies. Just saying.

Then they probably would take some skin cells or something too. Gah, man does it suck to be the Malachai in more ways than one.

In all honesty, though, I'm thinking that it's very, very plausible that blood was taken to create our newest Malachai.
I agree, it sucks to be the Malachai.

Or could be the case of how it was with Wulf and Cassandra. Laggy girl came to Nick in a dream. Since he knows he can't get it on in the real world. Why not go into his dreams in the guise of Kody and do the do and snatch a little "specimen" for the evil cause.

Oh yeah, that's very, very plausible too. Or the idea that the kid was snatched from the future. Actually, at this point in time, I'd say that anything's possible.

Today was put car and my home back in order, and rest as much as possible.

Tiamet + Chronus = Jaden (and probably Cam, Rezar, Braith, Azura, and Noir)
Braith + Kissare? = Monakribos (pg 245, not positive he's the dad, but it sounds like it)
Monakribos's blood forms malachai 2 = Jeros
Jeros + ??? = Evander
>>>generations of malachai's<<<
??? + ??? = Adarian
Adarian + Cherise = Nick
Jaden + ? = Caleb
Jaden + Azura = Xev
-Xev + Myone (demoness) = Jared
--Jared + Human female = Cherise
---Cherise + Adarian = Nick
----Nick + ??? = (potentially) Charity
----Nick + ??? = (potentially) Cyperian
I thought the Sephiroth was 'good', but they're born of demons and/or gods?
Could've sworn I had Caleb's mom noted somewhere...checking my paper trees and I just noticed this...
Stryker + Zephyra = Medea
Medea + Evander = Praxis
Evander isn't that common of a name (that I've seen/heard)...and Medea's going to be in a book in the next few years...coincidence?
Xev also has other brothers (pg 198), so who (and/or what) has Azura been procreating with?
And we also learn Noir went by another name at one point...Kadar (pg 305) So Azura right now appears to be the only one we haven't found another name for...yet!

And would seem that the Sephrioth are part of the side of Order/Chronus's side of things. So in a way would make sense that they come from the same source that makes the Malachai too in a way. After all Tiamet is the balance to that order and is the one that makes Chaos for all game plans.

I'm holding off on Cyperian's maternal blood, since we don't know that A) he actually *will* exist with all the changes going on B) who the biological mother is for sure.

Too true. And being Gods and other special little entities that they are. I still say who knows who crawled up in Nick's dreams and had a baby with him a la Cassandra and Wulf's way.
1) How on earth does it all work for those spoilers to be true!?
2) What sort of situations have to happen in order to lead up to those spoilers. I mean because those spoilers I'm reading from y'all are intense.....like Bubba (view spoiler)[Okay so his dad's a hellchaser. (hide spoiler)] Okay hold up hold up....what sort of situation would Nick have to be thrown into.....for that kind of spoiler to even be revealed. Did Bubba's dad just pop in the front door and say (view spoiler)[Yo I'm Bubba's dad. A hell chaser (hide spoiler)]
It's that sort of stuff that makes me thrive on spoilers.
And three anticipation kills my enjoyment. I find myself wanting to skip the not so exciting pages, just to get to the point...and then I find myself feeling guilty for skipping. So spoilers take away my anticipation and help me just enjoy the book.
Can't wait!
