Like it's interesting to know that this race exists, but Sherri coulda put the placement of that race introduction into a much much greater plot. Instead of just the whole "we accidently fed Simi a high-level no no dangerous demon and we must save her! They go to Mennie's for basically no purpose since Simi just ate it and that was it.

But I think the Div was actually the syphon Noir was referring to when he was panocking with Azura down in Azmodea. He said he'd sent his syphon to the Malachai, so he didn't understand why he was weakening instead of getting stronger. One of the Div's characteristics is that they absorb power, right? That's why everyone was panicking at the idea that they'd basically delivered a Charonte on a silver platter for the Div to absorb.
It DID feel a little random considering there were multiple storylines that were a lot more compelling in the novel. But since it tied in with showing us that Noir was still trying to get to Nick, and also that Noir was weakening... I was a little bored, but satisfied anyway. Plus, that race comes from the Kassitu, right? And Mennie was locked up there too... something tells me the Kassitu prison realm will play a big role at some pointin the series.
Sorry for the long paragraph

Well we got a new confirmed name for Azura, some history about how the primals came to be (birth order), not sure what else could be relevant other than Azura info.
Could Xyn possibly be pronounced in a way to sound like Ez?

The Arelim saw the time sequence being messed with, took a look around and spotted an anomaly: a general so good that the Malachai's army was forced to retreat. Ambrose never got it right with Nick but he somehow got it just right enough for Kody to be born in one of the futures he created. So, after Kody was defeated in battle, the Arelim brought her soul/spirit to their world and made her one of their own. In the meantime, Ambrose had already hit reset and started in on our current Nick.
I believe the Arelim exist in a sort of timeless bubble. If they were affected by changes to the timeline, then anytime they did their job, it would affect them. It would affect the qualities that made their bosses recruit them in the first place. It would probably erase them ocasionally. So I think they have to exist on a different level from other beings. So when Ambrose hit reset, Kody wasn't erased from existence because her soul/spirit was safely out of the affected area: the time sequence.

That theory seems like that it could work! We do know that the Arelim live in a realm? that is timeless and away from the mortal realm so as not to "corrupt" the employees and Arels and their higher-ups. It makes sense if when they pulled out Kody into their realm that when Ambrose hit reset that she would STILL be there! That makes a LOT of sense actually. ;)

This theory gives me hope that Kody won't die or be erased from existence and that we'll eventually see her around in the DH books
