I'm ok to read it, but right now I still have 7 books to go until I can get to that one - LOOOL! :D So for me it would work in about 7-10 days... I generally get through one book a day ...

Do you want us to check back in a few days - maybe Avi will appear , if not we can read it by ourselves? Or would you rather skip it for this month?

Well I only have the audio for 6 more days before it is returned. So if I'm going to read it then it has to be soon. But it might be better to skip it if Avi never shows up since we both have a lot of other books to read this month. I'll wait until Sun and if she hasn't checked in yet then I say scrap it and try for a June BR instead.

The book is dragging a bit... which i what distinguishes it from "real" Sheldon's work and Tilly Bagshaw's Sheldon books...

Well I started suspecting Lucy was Michael's sugar mama only because who else could it be? It wasn't like there were lots of older female characters to choose from. And I vaguely remembered a passing thought Michael had about Lucy at the dinner earlier in the book. I couldn't remember what it was exactly but I remembered it was favorable. And once I suspected that I kind of figured she was behind all the other stuff too. Just didn't know why until the end.

I'm not sure how I feel now that it's all over. There wasn't a single character I liked well enough to root for. Summer could have been likable if she hadn't ended up being the cliche girl to fall for the unfaithful douche. The hot bad boy is showing me attention! But he's such a player! But I just know he'll change for me and my magical vagina!.... What crap.

So I rated it 3 stars for entertainment purposes only. It entertained me enough to keep me interested until the end. Though it wasn't all that spectacular. (hide spoiler)]

I'm only 75% through, damn, I was so busy yesterday!

Anyways , let me back date some of my comments :
1. Michael is an asshole! "Summer is a whale, she will eat us all, bla bla bla," and then she turns out to be super hot! And he basically shamelessly tells her that she was a "hippo ready to attack" and that's why he didn't like her before, but now that she's skinny, now he wants to bang her... And she goes for it!!
2. Michael is also an asshole for not defending her sister in front of their mother! He keeps saying how Roxie is difficult and keeps wallowing and doesn't get along well with mother and it's hard on his "Mummy" >>> Mummy??? for f's sakes!!!
3. Actually they are all assholes for not defending Roxy and for not judging Alexia for the way she behaved towards her daughter that led to her being crippled! Ok maybe it wasn't entirely Alexia's fault that her daughter was mentally distraught and wanted to kill herself, but Alexia contributed to it greatly, and has zero shame or guilt! She is cold and cruel and emotionless.. I don't understand how she can claim to love her husband, yet be so cold to her children... Or even claim to love her husband, yet keep her identity a secret from him...

And i'm still just halfway through the book. Honestly, i was craving some romance yesterday so I started with another book:P But am picking up Tides Of Memory again now.

Honestly, Alexia is just like Noelle Page somewhat. Like I don't like her much but i mean hats of to her. She's an amazing heroine character but I can't fangirl about her. Do you get that?

I read something in a review that I agreed with. Isn't it weird that you aren't ever fully aware of the time lapses? At least I wasn't. For example: (view spoiler)[Billy was killed and then a little bit later in the book his daughter was also killed. Then you find out at the end that there was an entire year between the killings! Nothing in the book made me feel that much time had passed. In fact the entire book felt like it was only a few months. The author did not do a good job of making you aware of the time passing. Krissy - yes, i agree!! Time is flying and i am like "ummm what?!" Like at some point , midchapter a new paragrapgh starts with "The following year Alexia got elected..." And all of a sudden we are in the next year !!

Avi - true , she reminds me of Noelle! But i like Alexia even less! She just seems cold and calculated.... and I especially don't like how she mentioned a few times that she was jealous of her daughter and her beauty ! That's sick... Your daughter shouldn't be viewed as competition!!

OHMYGOD yes! I swear . She's a bitch but i can't find myself to say that i hate her because she is such a strong lead.

@Krissy, I was trying to ignore the time lapses becuase i thought i was being a spoiled reader but now that i have company, it was annoying.

Ok so major spoiler ahead, im hiding them so Avi DONT LOOK UNTIL YOU FINISH THE BOOK! Hahaha

(view spoiler)[ I couldn't possibly find a reason for it to be Lucy - i never linked her to poor dead Nicolas, so even though she was the only woman, i waa thinking "well it couldn't be her, because it just makes no sense!" But i guess - ok, that was a twist...

Overall- blah! Teddy being a killer and Lucy being a killer - a bit much! Roxy was a loser, Michael was a promiscuous douche and a mama's boy, and Summer was stupid (Michael was clearly playing her and cheating on her, she just chose to ignore it)... In the end maybe he wakes up, maybe he doesn't - meh, didn't care! And thee idea that Roxie and Summer stayed friends - riiiiight! Like that wouldn't be awkward!!! (hide spoiler)]

Overall, this is why i keep saying that Sheldon books written by Tilly Bagshaw are NOT Sheldon's books! They are a let down for me :(
