(view spoiler)[Julia's family are a piece of work. I find it difficult to believe that you can live with certain people your whole life and not ever see they are bad people that don't give a shit about you.

And I just noticed this is a "clean" romance. Disappointing. If I'm reading a historical romance novel I prefer it to have some steam. It doesn't necessarily have to be really graphic or erotic but I can never feel chemistry between the main characters in "clean" romances. (hide spoiler)]

I finished earlier this morning. I liked it well enough. The second half was better than the first. More fast paced since more things were happening.

I liked that the book didn't get too political. A lot of books that contain some type of espionage can tend to get way too detailed in the politics aspect. When that happens I get bored or start skimming. Luckily in this book the romance was at the forefront. Because of that I enjoyed it more.
