Do you have books on your shelves that you are "saving" to read?

For example, I have books on my shelf by several of my favorite authors (Larry Brown, Pete Dexter, Daniel Woodrell) that I have yet to read because I want to savor them and know many of these authors do not produce novels at a Stephen King-like pace. Unfortunately, Larry Brown passed away some years ago.

I did this with Hell at the Breach by Tom Franklin (wow, was I not disappointed - fabulous book!).

Others?

Softbananas | 19 comments Yes. The last couple of books by Vince Flynn. I don't want see his work end.

I know Kyle Mills is writing for Flynn now but it's not the same.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I've got lots of books on my shelves. I don't there are any I'm saving them to "savor" them. Just saving until I get to them.

Jim (jimmaclachlan) I have some books later in series that I'm working up to, but nothing saved to savor. Can't do that. Must read delicious books ASAP. I'm not worried about using them up since there are so many more new ones I want to read.

MaryJo Dawson | 126 comments Yes, I'm one of those who wants to enjoy the anticipation of a book I'm almost certain to like. That's why I haven't read all of Catherine Aird's Inspector Sloan mysteries yet. These are such fun reads for me.
