Kat (kate_schechter) | 3 comments Hi, I've been looking for someplace to post Audible feature questions/requests, and can't find anyplace. If this would be better posted elsewhere, please let me know.

I'm listening to an audiobook I just purchased, and portions of the narration are crazy fast. Is there any way of altering playback speed in finer gradations than the 25-50% increments built in to the app? (I'm using the Audible app 2.11 for iOS). If not, could someone feed this up the line as a feature request? Sometimes a narration is just a little too fast (or slow) for comfort, but jumping to 75% (or up to 125%) makes it worse. In this particular instance, it's irritating enough that I constantly find myself playing with narration speed, and am now regretting the book purchase.

**I wish there were a few finer gradations near the 1x narration speed. Something like 85 or 90%, and then 110% would be very helpful.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear it. Maybe an audio unit plugin for iTunes or something?

Second question: has there been any thought to allowing us to build separate listening profiles in our Audible accounts for the different listeners in our household? (Netflix does it well.) My husband and I listen to completely different genres. He often finds his next read in Audible recommendations, but if I buy several titles at once (i.e. during the half price sale) it wrecks that feature for him. It would sure be nice if you could tag a listen as one reader or another, the way you can in Netflix.

**iTunes has the family feature, Netflix has viewer profiles. I'd love to see something similar added to Audible.

Thanks

I'm listening to an audioboo..."

I can't help with the speed issues, although I do recommend that you send a note to Audible about the quality of the book... they have been known to fix such features with some other books.

I just wanted to add my agreement to your suggestion about being able to indicate various listeners. It would certainly be helpful. It will also become an issue when the new Library format rolls out for everyone... it shows "hours/minutes left" of a book being listened to--via the Cloud or device--but if two different people in the household listen, it will render this feature less than useless. Right now it will be the default display rather than actual length of the book... I foresee confusion!

Kat (kate_schechter) | 3 comments Thanks Jeanie. I'll see if I can find a way of contacting Audible about this specific title.
