Sree | 174 comments Thanks, Arpit.

message 5: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments Hey thanks @arpit!

message 6: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments Kushal, I changed my mind. I am thinking of reading , 'The white tiger '. what do you say?

message 7: by Gorab (new)

Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments Happy reading guys :)
So what are you two going to read?

message 8: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments I am fickle minded when it comes to choosing a book. But I think I will read 'the white tiger' by Aravind Adiga this time. And Kushal had chosen 'The Alchemist'.

Sree | 174 comments Gorab wrote: "Happy reading guys :)

Thanks Gorab.

message 10: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments Okay...! I am starting now.

message 11: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments That's even more better! Now you can tell me what happens from pages 251 to 267 ... I bought it from those fake book vendors and these pages were missing! Well I could understand perfectly what was going on, yet it'd seem better to know exactly what happens!

message 12: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments @gorab ... I could've replied, but my shitty iPad app doesn't let me reply ... So thank you! And I am reading the alchemist!

message 13: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments the book has an interesting start. and the descriptions are vivid, but not pleasant. especially, the descriptions of burning the dead in the banks of River Ganga sent a chill up my spine.

message 14: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments the book beautifully explains the shocking conversion of an intelligent boy deprived of choices and chances into a murderer. why didn't I come across this book earlier...?

message 15: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments oh.. I hate his granny...!

message 16: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments Sree wrote: "oh.. I hate his granny...!"

Hahaha, so true ... the descriptions are great in this!
But hey! Its still 30 Apr!
:p

message 17: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments it's okay. I will read another book from your read shelf.
How is your reading going? is ' The Alchemist' good?

message 18: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments I just started it! The starting is epic in itself! So serene!

message 19: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments glad you like it...! keep me updated on your views about the book.

message 20: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments Sure! Actually liked it so much, I put aside the books ... By books I mean text books for my entrances and m going to buy the hard copy today , later in the evening!

message 21: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments Great...! it is one of the few books of which I have the paperback. a good book we could reread many times.

message 22: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments Cool! And what's up with white tiger?

message 23: by Gorab (new)

Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments Both nice books. Hope you guys are enjoying!

Sree | 174 comments Kushal wrote: "Cool! And what's up with white tiger?"

I finished The white tiger, Kushal. I am now just idling around scrolling up and down your red shelf, trying to find another book.

message 26: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments Gorab wrote: "@Sree : What next after tiger? That was pretty fast!"d

i am currently reading some eight or nine books now, Gorab, and i am trying to complete them

message 27: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments Whaaaa! How fast do you even read? I'm on page 13! :p

I just bought the book btw ...
And I really do recommend the Haroun and the sea of stories

message 28: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments haha...! I am having holidays right now and books are my only hope to pass time

message 29: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments Haroun and the sea of stories which you recommended sounds so interesting and I am planning to go wreck the library in the neighborhood and find the book.

message 30: by Gorab (new)

Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments Sree wrote: "currently reading some eight or nine books now"

Whaaat! Doesn't it mix up stories in your head? Recently I see people reading more than 5 at a time and wonder how how how!
*rolling eyes*
*faints*

Me too!
I wonder the same thing! Alchemist, a piddly 160 page book and I'm expecting it to go on for a week!

message 33: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments @gorab *sparkles water in your face and wakes you up*
the stories do not mix up in my head, fortunately.

message 34: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments @kushal don't worry, Kushal. the slower you read the book the better you enjoy it. Enjoy, Enjoy...!

message 35: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments Haha!
But somewhere deep down, in the depths of a bleeding heart lies the feeling of jealousy amongst people ....

message 36: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments haha...! jealousy is a good feeling...!

message 37: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments what are you doing right now?

message 38: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments geeky answer ... reading alchemist, ...
truth... I stopped reading it an hour ago when I saw people online on fb...
and I am writing stuff for my next blogpost

message 39: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments what about you?

message 40: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments great...! I am utterly bored and I am just browsing through goodreads. I don't even have the frame of mind to read right now.

message 41: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments So, which would be your fav books?

message 42: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments I pretty much read everything. but I have to admit that when I first saw you read shelf a few days back I was shocked. only science fiction books...! I think we did not even have a book in common. my favourite genres are psychology, mystery and romance. I currently searching for a good psychological thriller. recommend if you find one

message 43: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments gone girl!
kafka on the shore and Wind-Up bird chronicle! I just finished it! and it is so damn awesome! It's not psycho thriller though ... but you really will think a lot about psychology and a definite and a must read!
I have ebooks too :p

message 44: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments great...! I will start those books once I finish the books in my ever winding currently reading list.

message 45: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments haha, which book(s) are you reading now?

message 46: by Gorab (new)

Gorab (itsgorab) | 3110 comments *slowly wakes up* :P
"searching for a good psychological thriller"
Gone Girl!

@Kushal : I'm very tempted to read Murakami. Heard a lot about him and haven't read a single!

message 47: by Sree (new)

Sree | 174 comments @Gorab since you and kushal, both are suggesting Gone girl, I think it will not hurt to add one more book to my currently reading list by starting to read gone girl right now

@Kushal okay buddy These are books I am currently reading

1. Cinnamon and gunpowder
2. A suitable boy
3. Anna Karenina
4. uncle Fred in springtime
5. Passenger to Frankfurt
6. Switch on ( a non fiction book ' motivational stuff')
7. nine lives
8. the oath of vayuputras( I am thinking of abandoning this book)

message 48: by Kushal (new)

Kushal Gorti (piezoradeon) | 114 comments the only book I know was the 8th!
That's a good one though .. don't abandon it!

You really should read one of his! I think I'll go on a murakami spree!
The worst part ... His books are way too costly

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)
