Musicgurl8192 I just read the book and I need people to talk about it with. So if you haven't read the book, I warn you, there will be spoilers everywhere.

Cause DAMN.

Musicgurl8192 {May I remind you, spoilers ahead! To not tread any further! Spoilers!}

Okay, so am I the only one who thought Lucien and Elaine would be a thing? While everyone thought Nesta and Lucien would, and although I thought they would of been fun, I always thought it would be Elaine. Lucien has so much pain inside him, he has so much pain and darkness inside, and Elaine is so light, she is Spring. I think Lucien needs Spring. He needs a bloom in all the fallen leaves of Autumn. So there's that. Surprised they are mates, didn't think Sarah would go that far, but I'm not against it. It makes for very interesting things ahead, oh yes indeed {I picture myself laughing maniacly here}...

Oh and Lucien is weaker than I thought he was, honestly. And I can't believe I'm saying this, I prefer Nesta. At least in how she was in this book. She really is a bitch, but at least she's a bitch you can count on.

Just some of my thoughts.

Diana OMG! I so want to talk about it too, but I'll only get it on may 3rd :(( If you are willing to share anything (all of it kinda maybe :)))) that would be spectacularly amazing!

Jess Ok give us more! I Haven't read the book but I want to hear what you thought about it. Did she KILL Tamlin's character by making him evil and act crazy. Does the first book even MATTER now that Rhys and Feyre are mates? Thanks!!!!

Brittany I'm so wickedly jealous of everyone that has gotten their hands on this before me!! I'm (NOT!) patiently waiting until the 3rd.... I'm dying to read this though!!

I really don't want to spoil, even if you're willing. All I can say is that things take a very exciting turn. The wait will be worth it.

Hmm, keeping it vague, I thought the book was really good. Kept me interested. Love the new places and characters. And about Tamlin, I don't know. I mean, I feel that it was realistic to a degree, Tamlin has his faults and he went over the edge. So, I don't think she killed him, shattered the image fans of him probably had, but I think this was just how he was all along. I think the first book matters because without it, one of the big points of the second book, wouldn't have made as much of an impression on the readers. Like, what happens after Happily Ever After? Where does the heroine go from this? It's more than a love story. I think the first book was needed to drive that point home.

Yeah, I couldn't believe my luck! The day will come and you will be free from this torment! I believe, it will be worth it for many readers :)

Jess Thank you Musicgurl! You definitely made me excited to read it tomorrow! Though my heart will still break a bit for Tamlin :)

Rebecka I was so amazed at how she wrote the psychological aspect of the story. I mean, how Feyre had nightmare's, and almost a mental breakdown after what she was forced to do Under the Mountain. It really touched me. Also, Rhysand.. wow, it nearly broke my heart with all he went through, what he had at stake, how he didn't think he was worthy of love and had to hide his true feelings :(

But I always thought they were right for each other, so I was practically rolling around on the floor in sheer joy :D

And those notes they sent each other! They had me cracked up! Their dialogue is the best! And the shoe she threw at him! :D

I think it was kinda implied that Nesta got some "extra powers", when she turned fae.. what do you think it was? Maybe she got some fire powers or something, if the flames Feyre painted is any indication. And is it just me, or is there some spark between Nesta and Cassian? :)

No problem, I'm glad I could! I think all our hearts will break a bit.

Rebecka wrote: "I was so amazed at how she wrote the psychological aspect of the story. I mean, how Feyre had nightmare's, and almost a mental breakdown after what she was forced to do Under the Mountain. It reall..."

Yes, I was happy with how she showed the psychological effect Under The Mountain had on Feyre. I thought it was important, cause not every Happily Ever After ends so happily. Yeah, seeing Rhysand was very sad and very real. I'm just glad it's in the open so that he and Feyre can work on it. Nothing can be fixed unless there is honest communication, cause how will you know how to fix what's broken otherwise?

Haha, yep. I feel ya. I was grinning, like see! I knew you guys would work out. ;)

Oh man, best thing ever. Loved the letters and the shoe throwing scene is one of my favourites for sure. And the sexual tension was ALL OVER the place.

I have no idea. But she's powerful. Like shit is going down {or burning down, if the flames Feyre painted is an indication...}. I'm so excited to see Nesta kick some butt. Nesta ain't keeping no prisoners. Merciless, she is. Ooh no, it's not just you. Cassian & Nesta's sparks were everywhere.

Rachel Anybody unsure about the Nessa & Cassian interactions: GO NOW! And read the Target exclusive story! ;)

Brittany Ugh I finished it last night and I feel like my brain and heart are both ready to explode. I wanted to feel bad for Tamlin, I really did. I wanted to understand, but I just couldn't. When Feyre would wake up a vomit from the nightmares and he didn't so much as stir... What happened to the super caring Tamlin of ACOTAR!? After everything she went through for him- yes, he went through a lot and it must of been hard to just watch and not be able to do anything, but that should make him MORE willing to just hold her when she was being plagued with guilt and horror. He was letting her starve herself and the poor girl wanted to get out and move, she was trapped Under the Mountain for three months for heavens sake.

I know Lucien WANTED to help, but I agree with Feyre, he should have done more. I was so happy that Rhysand showed up when he did. Am I the only one that mistrusted Ianthe straight away? Did everyone else find her suspicious too??

When Rhysand gave his long explanation and so many things became clear I was so elated! The stars he had her paint, without knowing her or anything- gahhhhh! So, so, so romantic, the whole thing! Their love story began long before Tamlin came on scene!

Now I desperately need the last book. Right. Now.

Ayam Ahmed I loved the book but I was wondering, how would the series be 6 books, we are only on the second book and the story is going faster than I realized. I think the last three books of the series will focus on the war because war is coming, and as I see it Hybern will be more difficult defeating than Earawon ( in Throne of Glass).

ashrey Um i really don't want Feyre to sleep with him again.....

ashrey Yup! Ikind of want her to like convince him she's not ready to have it with him...
I'm wondering if Rhysand will feel the pain since they've completed their mating bond and since he's now overprotective he'll come bursting in with a knife!

Solaris LOL. Rhys + knives. :D He'll just mist everyone on sight. that's more his style! Or even better, maybe he'll just mist Tamlin's.....favorite parts, mwahaha. O.O;;

~
Considering how the book was written, I for one had no idea Ianthe was so foul.

We see the world through Feyre's eyes, and so [we] /she has no idea how much she is being manipulated by Ianthe (and molded into what Tamlin and Lucien and Ianthe want her to be). We only find out through third parties--Rhys, and then the King of Hybern, how deep Ianthe's treachery and avarice goes.

I don't know if the writing is entirely to blame about that (it's really hard criticize sjm, lol), but I do think the lack of 'signs' has a lot to do with Feyre's own emotional issues at the time, that she is not paying much attention outwardly---not even Lucien's disdain peals warning bells to go off for Feyre.

And given Feyre's upbringing and situation, she wasn't...very 'educated' or 'raised' to be more discerning of other peoples' character, or develop her own, outside of survival; so I can see how the poor dear would so easily be manipulated. Someone (Rhys) has to practically tell her that yes she does have choices and every right to self-determination.

I admit that I liked the first book and read it twice before I even knew that the second book was released. I admit that I liked the romance and the story before I read the second book. Just goes to show how easily we can be fooled. It took time and circumstances for Feyre to 'wake up'--and for me as the reader to 'wake up' to the toolish-ness that is Tamlin/Spring Court.

And Lucien, I'm still mad at you, you have some major atoning and straightening up to do, mister!

Lastly, poor Nesta and poor poor Elain! They had no choice in what happened to them, and their lives are basically ruined. Elain was in love and was going to get married----------now what? :'(

*steps off soap box* thanks for hearing me out guys ^^;;;;

Rotema Binshtok so I just reread a few of my favorite parts in the book because I can't wait for ACOWAR I'm just so scared of what it going to do to my heart. especially after sarah said that not all of the characters will survive the book. and I love so of them I can't believe one of them or more is about to die

Lorri I loved this book so much! I now can't bring myself to start any other book yet as I'm still so stuck in the story, settings and characters. I loved the twist in the story with ACOMAF. Really didn't see that coming but so glad it happened. It opened everything up to a whole new epic adventure and I know what court I would rather reside in!!!

I'm so excited for/dreading ACOWAR. Sarah J Maas not having a finished series yet makes me SO SO nervous, because I don't know yet whether she's the type of author to kill off vitally important characters for the sake of surprise/drama etc.

Lorri Feeling the same way Barbara!
