You know the evil brains behind the maze are no longer on the mods' nest, right? :P
I didn't know that. I just blame or give credit in a blanket kind of way when it comes to the mods and their evil/brilliant plans.
Anything that looks like a script was involved, was done by Kelly. She was the tech wizard.She was really busy with RL during towers HP... but, there was this pesky mod (no longer part of the team) that knew exactly what buttons to push, and the maze was the amazing result.
Buuuut, the initial idea was to do it in excel (yep, the little hobbit was also nuts), so, maybe if we tease enough, and give lots of suggestions, the mighty mods find a way?
They're pretty awesome like that.

I can do low level Python code but only for maps and stats, and not game design, which I would guess it would fall under.
That maze was really cool...But I'm always blown away by how well thought out challenges in this group are anyway, even if they're not as tech-heavy as all that :)

And btw, I found a cute maze type game, with coding attached.
If I manage a way to make it run on a free resource, I'll let you know. Because then we'll need to add customization and find how to make the little character move according to books.

Though I'm not sure about the team names.... Teams Thumbscrew, Rack or Pear of Anguish don't seem to me to be conducive to good healthy fun?!
