Well I'm going to guess it's definitely TT related since when I brought it up back in January I was told my twitchy self had to wait a few months to find out when it was coming back. I see the end of March as a couple of months so Hit Me With It!

You just know who among us would be doing a happy dance over a Discworld themed challenge... ;) *nudges Cat*hint... hint...
Also, doing a LotR themed challenge (or 3) is at the top of my book challenge bucket list.
Sonia's reaction on discovering that the Discworld is on the back of a turtle* was perfection. I nearly cried with laughter
* and then I explained about the elephants...

It all makes perfect sense! lol.
Under the "religion" section of the census I always put "All hail the Great A'Tuin!"
Melindam wrote: "A Discworld-themed challenge would be a dream come true. :)"I fully expected you to head up the front of the Discworld happy dance conga line, lol.
Judith wrote: "Nice bribe Sammy, you remembered to include a favorite ;)"Three favourites for three different mods. Must discover ways to bribe the others still, lol.
The problem with Sammy's bribes, from her point of view, is that we all go into a collective daze and forget what the bribe was for....
mmmmmmmmm.......
mmmmmmmmm.......

Yes, but I'm kinda hoping that in your distracted states, we can ask questions and you'll answer them without thinking...
Such as "give us a hint pretty please!", lol.
Judith wrote: "Nice bribe Sammy, you remembered to include a favorite ;)"
I suspect she's got that lineup saved somewhere so she can just copy/paste on demand :)

And miss out on all the lovely images I get to see while looking for them? Don't be silly! lol.
Audrey Jane wrote: "Haha, loving the bribery, Sammy !"It can be really effective... I find this works really well in hypnotising Sonia:

But unfortunately she doesn't know anything about the upcoming challenge, so isn't as helpful as it could have otherwise been, lol.

Ummm... save the best for last? ;)
Meanwhile I'm still lingering in tom Ellis image search land... it's... diverting...
Too busy dancing in Melinda's conga, hanging onto Richard A's hips!
*dances off, kicking legs out ever so slightly out of sync*

Lucifer certainly provides lots of options

It took me a minute to notice that there were words in these messages. I wonder where my brain went...
Sonia wrote: "Cat wrote: "You guys gotta do SOME work in the guessing!"Guessing? That's overrated.
As long as the words challenge and team are present, we'll join. You should know better by now."
LOL I feel the same about the words challenge and team.
Melindam wrote: "You are welcome, Laura. It was an UNO Challenge where I first learned about Tower Teams as well. ;)"Same for me!! My UNO team kept talking about ‘TT’ a couple years back and I was clueless until they let me in on all the fun of Tower Teams!! I’m so thankful!
My great joy is that I know nothing (or very little) about our potential Discworld theme books. I have read two of the books, I think? So, if that is really what we are doing, I get to learn along with the challenge. And, there are what, 300 books or something? Now I want to read them all, and figure out what challenges could fit into them. But, I will wait to see if this is real or an evil red herring.
Wait, are the mods evil? I forget.
teehee

I am totally picturing that!
Hey, you said hips... HIPS! Mind where you're putting those hands! ;)
Sammy wrote: "Ohhh, I think I can improve on almost... ;)"
I was on my daily meeting and stopped talking mid sentence. That will show me.
Jenny wrote: "My great joy is that I know nothing (or very little) about our potential Discworld theme books. I have read two of the books, I think? Shouldn't this thread be renamed "Your daily dose of eye candy" ;)I know which thread I'll be visiting when I'm having an off day.
@Jenny: Same :) If TT is Discworld themed, I was thinking I should read it too; also to understand the references etc

Yeah... I thought the same thing... It lasted exactly till I wen to the series page and saw the line:
On a world supported on the back of a giant turtle (sex unknown), a gleeful, explosive, wickedly eccentric expedition sets out. There's an avaricious but inept wizard, a naive tourist whose luggage moves on hundreds of dear little legs, dragons who only exist if you believe in them, and of course THE EDGE of the planet
Looks like fun in theory... But I'm pretty sure my brain will explode eventually.

I've heard great things about DISCWORLD. I'm going to wait and see if that is the TT "theme" this year, because if it is, maybe it will be worth more points to read the books then!!
speaking of, is anyone else shy because of how little they read, and therefore can't contribute much to challenges like this?no? just me?

Nah, the mods are awesome at balancing teams! I used to only read about two a week (though one would be a super chunky one - 800+ pages if I could manage it), and I always felt like I was contributing. Of course these days I read a little *cough* more than that, lol.
