Ahahahahaha - he is one of the first people I think of as well after seeing that terrible, terrible show.

The show might not have been great long term (it did have some good seasons mixed in to all the bad ones), but it had some REALLY sexy men on it, and it did add some great characters that either didn't last long in the books or were made up just for the show.
Lafayette and Jessica come to mind as great characters and perfectly cast.
Also a totally respectable way to watch porn. It was on HBO after all. Lafayette was my favorite too.
Sonia wrote: "Curious enough, they weren't supposed to be on the series, Jessica at all, and Lafayette for long."Yeah, thus my comment "it did add some great characters that either didn't last long in the books or were made up just for the show." :D
Lafayette had some of the absolute best lines.
"This whole got-dam table's got AIDS."
"I know every man, whether straight, gay, or George motherfuckin' Bush is terrified... of the p*ssy!"
"I mean, if she talked any more shit she'd be shaped like a toilet."
"Jesus and I agreed to see other people, but that don't mean we don't still talk from time to time."
Jason: I got a lot on my mind lately.
LaFayette: That must be new.
I do so adore Tara and Pam's smart mouths as well! :P Especially the scene they introduce Tara.
Haha Shelby.
It will be on this year but is a few months away yet 👍😉
We are planning on an individual competitive challenge first - should be announced in around a month 🤞

I keep waiting and hunting for it lol
This is weird... a whole 10 hours since the newsletter arrived... and NOT. A. SINGLE. QUESTION.I feel cheated. My teasers always caused tsunamis....this time.... not a single ripple.
Well, at least that means the powers that be can get some work done.
YOU feel cheated???!!!
I'm crying sadly inside.
Noone cares. Everyone's too excited about lockdown easing (in the UK - which obviously is exciting to EVERYONE!)

So. Since it's all up to me then.Where is the big news?
I was promised good news in the newsletter! It's like wanting a HEA and getting a HFN
Meh.
I saw the newsletter on my phone, but of course could not access the link b/c of the stupid app. But here I am... waiting eagerly! :D

We're banned from moving around this week. Everybody stays put till Easter is done.
I had to cross the bridge, during rush hour, with 3 kitties and one 8 y.o., on a thursday, so we could blend enough not to get caught, before the travel ban was in place... that meant 1:30 minutes of being in a car instead of the usual 30.
But hey... now the kid is happy riding her scooter and playing outside on the big yard. And we have fresh air even in confinement. And more important, my step-dad won't be all alone during easter.

That's my fault. I got confused and forgot we were only putting a teaser in the newsletter. Whoops.
The Mistress of Lust begs forgiveness.
But delayed gratification can be good too. Hehehehe

As long as the words challenge and team are present, we'll join. You should know better by now.
Well, the little picture next to the link in the newsletter does look like a miniature phallic symbol ... or just a tower?
Melindam wrote: "Well, the little picture next to the link in the newsletter does look like a miniature phallic symbol ... or just a tower?"Now that you mention it...
Melindam wrote: "Well, the little picture next to the link in the newsletter does look like a miniature phallic symbol ... or just a tower?"
a phallic symbol????!!!! How very dare ... ah! yeah, Ok, you know us too well. but, nope, not a phallic symbol - all ages group, remember!

:D
Then it's a Tower, which of course attracts further speculation (if it's not simply a reference to TT in general :).
Just the top off my head:
Could be the Tower of Art at the Unseen University in Ankh Morpork, Discworld.
Or maybe 1 of the Two Towers in Middle Earth?

you are being bold in ruling out the Chipmunks being very squirrelly and mis-direction-y!

Unless the clue is stamps, the picture says Ankh-Morpork
Tower of Babel has possibilities...Stamps? I keep picturing flying ducks. I think I watched Fargo too many times.

Nooooo.... we wouldn't do that to you , for many many reasons

Ok so I may have just spent way too long zooming in on this picture to see it better only to realize I could right click it and open it in a new tab to view it in a larger size...
Melanie wrote: "Ok so I may have just spent way too long zooming in on this picture to see it better only to realize I could right click it and open it in a new tab to view it in a larger size..."OMIGOD I FEEL SO STUPID RIGHT NOW....
Now the stamp reference makes sense.
It's a tower... it has two turrets.... *dares to hope*
Melanie wrote: "Ok so I may have just spent way too long zooming in on this picture to see it better only to realize I could right click it and open it in a new tab to view it in a larger size..."hahahaha I feel so dumb, I knew I could do that but I just couldn't remember how
Melindam wrote: "It's the Tower of Arts stamp, issued in Ankh-Morpork. There are the ravens as well. :)"It looks like a tower but im new so no idea what the Challenge is going to be!!! something to do with Rapunzel or lord of the rings?
Im getting a feel for things atm (love the novel RP i will be lost in that for a fair while reading through all the quests exciting stuff......) Still i need to start collecting Gem coins too ;-P
Mel Thanks so much for suggesting this group...
It definitely has to be an indication of Tower Teams, Laura..devouring books like crumpts. It's a fun fun team reading challenge game!

I've decided to just oversee this one. Being a new challenge I thought it may be best!
