We read this a long time ago in the group, but it's a wonderful book to revisit!

The Perks of Being A Wallflower has been a popular YA title recently, with the 2012 film and it's recent boost into bestseller status!

Discussion starts 1st May.

(view spoiler)[So far I'm finding the book a bit on the sad side. Does anyone else feel like that?
I guess it's because of Michael's suicide and Charlie reminiscing over it, and then little facts over Charlie getting hit over asking what was wrong with Aunt Helen, and then finding out Aunt Helen is gone and buried at the cemetery where his mother likes to go and visit her relatives, which I also find rather sad. This is one of those books I never seem to get to but never find the time to fit in. Maybe this month.

Roseanne, I'd definitely recommend it! It's an interesting book, very well written. And the style is great. It does take a bit to get into though!

And Elizabeth, (view spoiler)[it is definitely a sad book. Or at least an eyeopening book about how some people just struggle with society. I read it a few years ago, when I felt very much like Charlie felt. (hide spoiler)]

I agree. There's definitely a lot of emotions explored. Especially the way people get treated in high school. All that angst and effort to find your way. Gah!
