Jazmin (jazminguo) | 3 comments Hi. I'm looking for books like the ones I've just read.

I would prefer it if the guy dislikes or distrusts the girl maybe because of who she is or maybe because of who he is. Or maybe guy is unwillingly attracted to her.

The girl can be different, can avoid him at first, but she has to save him or have to interact with him in some way. She has a secret that might be revealed by helping him.

I just read The Girl Who Heard Demons, I loved this premise, the girl knows something guy can't understand and he wants to dislike her for it, but is still attracted to her and all. My catnip.

Also, Emerge had a mermaid who had to save a guy from someone else.

Yes, I want there to be a romance between the two. It can be YA, NA, or whatever age. I don't care, be it paranormal or historical or contemporary.

Thank you in advance!

ETA: I changed title a little because it doesn't have to be a girl with secret powers, just someone with a secret.

Jazmin (jazminguo) | 3 comments Thank you Anna and Sheila. I'm looking these up now. I hope someone could add some more.

Also it occurs to me that books with psychics who are disliked or distrusted by skeptical heroes would fit here as well.

I'm going to recommend a few that I've read already. Forbidden Territory, Shiver , Telling Secrets
