So we're almost finished with An Artificial Night - that means it's time to schedule the next Read Along! Here's what I've got. As usual, shout out if you want to host!

Week 1: Saturday 2nd July, Chapters 1 to 9, hosted by Over the Effing Rainbow
Week 2: Saturday 9th July, Chapters 10 to 18, hosted by Lynn's Book Blog
Week 3: Saturday 16th July, Chapters 19 to 27, hosted by Books By Proxy
Week 4: Saturday 23rd July, Chapters 28 to End, hosted by Hisham El-far

Do we want this to overlap with between the thorns?

message 3: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (deargeekplace) | 549 comments Mod
Will it? I'm not sure how much participant overlap there is, but if there's enough concern over it I'm happy to rearrange this one...

May 9th-May 30th for that one so these will be pretty much in sync, haha. I personally don't know if I'll have time to do both but that's also because my May is going to be crazy. Is anyone else wishing to do both?

message 5: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (deargeekplace) | 549 comments Mod
Fair point. I'll leave the schedule up but remove the dates for now, since May does look pretty hectic now that I've looked more closely...

Input on good time slots welcome!

I'm in, but I'm also doing Thorns and the 2nd Gentleman Bastards book in May. I could probably juggle 3 read-alongs, but I'm also going to be part of the bloggers judging books for the SPFBO (Self-Published Fantasy BlogOff) starting in May, so I have to start threading in some of those books, too. I feel like I could handle this in June, but whatever everyone decides. I just may have to play catch up. :-)

June would work for me I think!

message 8: by proxyfish (new)

proxyfish | 29 comments I'm up for it! Not too bothered about when so I'll leave that to you!

message 9: by Lynn (new)

Lynn Williams | 84 comments I'm definitely in. Let me know when. Also reading Thorns so maybe June would be a good idea although I'll fit it in.
Lynn :D

Lisa (deargeekplace) | 549 comments Mod
OK, it looks like June is it! I've added new dates to the schedule above. :)

message 11: by Lynn (new)

Lynn Williams | 84 comments And, happy to host - but if others want a chance will step aside.
Lynn :D

Lisa (deargeekplace) | 549 comments Mod
Yay! One hosting spot left if anyone wants it. :)

message 15: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (deargeekplace) | 549 comments Mod
OK, so I looked over my calendar again and considering what's still on the read along agenda, it's looking like June might also be a tight squeeze for this one...?

I'm willing to squeeze if June still works for you guys, but would July maybe work better?

message 16: by Tiara (new)

Tiara (digitaltempest) | 26 comments I'm fine with July because my June is going to pretty full, too. But I'll get it in, too, if people rather do July.

message 17: by Anya, Dragonmaster (new)

Anya (starsanddragons) | 155 comments Mod
July would be a lot easier for me since I'll be done teaching

message 18: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (deargeekplace) | 549 comments Mod
OK, I've updated the original schedule for a July readalong. I kept the host spots the same, but if any don't work this way let me know!

message 19: by Hisham (new)

Hisham El-far (el-far) | 51 comments I'm in! :)

Susan (nrlymrtl) | 143 comments Mod
So I may just be a lurker on this one or I might join in the discussions. Dealing with medical stuff. We'll see come July.

Hisham El-far (el-far) | 51 comments Hey,if the hosting spot for week 4 is still open - I wouldn't mind having a crack at asking a few questions!

OK, so I've been considering when might be best to schedule the next book in this series, and I suspect August is going to be sketchy for me with so much else going on, real life wise. Would anyone mind if we held off until September?

message 37: by Anya, Dragonmaster (new)

Anya (starsanddragons) | 155 comments Mod
I'm fine with that, no need to add stress :)

So there's had to be a last-minute schedule change - I contacted proxyfish today to ask about this week's questions and she's unable to host this week, so I'm going to toss out some questions of my own to cover these chapters. Sorry for any inconvenience, and for not getting to this sooner! Here are my questions:

I understand. I know that real life likes to mess with all of us at certain times.

I hope Proxy can return to our insanity later on! :)

As I mentioned in the All Is Fair read-along, I'm having some health issues at the moment. I'll try and get my Week 4 Late Eclipses post out on Saturday - but If not, I look forward to seeing all of your posts once my drugs wear off! :D
