A.G. Fleury | 16 comments Hello Allissa!

I'm Al Fleury(author name A. G. Fleury). I read a bit of info from your website as I was reading through notifications here on G.R.

First, I'd like to congratulate you on publishing your first novel(En Passant). I'm in a similar situation. Just self-published my first novel(Kill Per View) September 14, 2021.

Your snippet on traditional publishing houses, the difficulties in trying to sell your story to them, and the rejections received due to lack of previously published writing credits is all too familiar.

I'm a Canadian writer and began farming out part of my manuscript to traditional publishing houses in Canada only. Through a list of over 65 of them, I could only reach out to 11 due to their strict guidelines and choice of books they publish. Then, I began the 6-month waiting period they insisted on. As you probably already guessed, there were no takers. So, like yourself, I chose to self-publish. Long story short, I was pleased with the services I paid for(editing, book cover, etc...)

Just wanted to remind you that you're not alone in this. Marketing and promotions is all up to us. Just keep plugging away at it. One suggestion I have. Maybe reach out to another self-published author to do a book swap and agree to write a review afterwards. At least it gets you a review that states it's from another author and that looks good. Here is my link to my website. Not as fancy as yours but will work on it. Monthly newsletter on 2nd page.

https://www.agfleury.com/

Anyhow, just wanted to reach out and wish you the best in your writing endeavours.

May new words continue to appear on your pages!(my quote to encourage other authors)

Take care!

A. G. Fleury

D.L. Fletcher (dlfletcher) | 19 comments I am an author, blogger, and book/audiobook reviewer. On my website Dlfletcher.com you will find my books, videos, and recommendations. I call my reviews 'Recommendations' as I will not add any books I read and did not enjoy, since reading likes are really a matter of preference. It is a win-win. You will not receive a poor review because I am recommending only what I like. I have only just started the 'Recommendation' portion of my website so you will only see a few recommendations at this time. I plan on stepping up this portion immensely in 2022. I also send out a newsletter every couple of weeks at a minimum of once a month.

Please join me on my website by subscribing. I will not spam you, and of course, you can unsubscribe at any time.

If you have a book you really want to have reviewed you can contact me through my website Dlfletcher.com. All reviews are posted to my website, Instagram, Facebook page, Goodreads, Tumblr, Tiktok and Twitter.

That all said, I will only take a chance in reading or listening to a book that sounds interesting as time is limited between working full-time, promoting my work, writing my books, and making recommendations. Also, I will not pay for your book or audiobook. It must be gifted to me once agreed that I will give your book a chance, but there is no guarantee that I will in the end recommend it. I can guarantee that you will not receive a negative review. To be clear, this does not mean that any book I recommend is guaranteed a 5 star either. I can enjoy a book and still only give it a 3 star, for example.

To be completely transparent my followers are not high. Almost 200 on Instagram, over 700 on Twitter, my Facebook is growing and minimal on Tiktok as well as Tumblr. That said, they will and are growing. If my recommendation for your book is not seen now, as my followings grow so will the exposure to your book.

Anyway, hello :) and best of luck to all of you in your writing journey. I wish all of us great success in 2022!

Kimberly Bell | 24 comments Listen to me with Shayna Rattler on a podcast that empowers individuals to move out of disruption into a greater destiny, expectancy, and possibility. On the show, I share my story of when my life collided with God’s purpose and put me on the path that was designed for me. Through listening, you can learn how elevating God’s position in your life unlocks the door to bounce back from setbacks, disappointments and uncertainty so you can confidently enter into your next chapter and continue living in purpose.

I wanted to introduce you to my Bampires. They are the most interesting creatures you will ever read. plus you will never forget them. Here how about a free book to get you hooked
My creations were born from a broken heart.
Bampires are creatures from a planet called Bamptillia. They are now on earth and thriving due to lonliness. They survive by sex. Only one way a human can be turned. Not in the way you would expect. Heart is selfish but very fragile

Ry Chri | 3 comments Hi group, I am adding my personal website and that of my book. Would be interested to hear which design works best.

Website creation is a huge new learning curve and one which I prefer tackling myself. This helps to explain the simple layout.

There are a quite a few well designed websites out there and I have already found a number of exciting new authors to follow on their journey. My favourite genre is espionage thrillers.

You can find me here: www.ghostlytraveller.com - why don't you jump into my lair of ill repute? I can offer you a good time on the wild side of life (and death). I am always looking for more followers on my site. So the more the merrier!
