I love Pitbulls Cindy. I was kind of afraid them at first too until my son got one. He was the sweetest dog ever and I soon discovered it's the humans that make them mean, not the breed.

They are loving around children, and they will protect you just like any other dog would try to do cause they are in the family. I would worry more about kids being around my smaller dog than a Pitbull.

I would love to read this. I will have to check it out.

yes more people should be dedicated about the breed. so sad the shelters are full of them and some people can't take them due to insurance policies or town ordinances on certain breeds. I too, would trust a kid with most pitbulls, than my brother in law's Weiner dog that bites my daughter every time it has seen her!

thank you so much for your comments! we are trying to get a copy in every community...the problem has become so overwhelming and landed in the lap of the public! This book is part how-to, part rant and filled with resources for dog and cat lovers alike.

What a great book topic! I have a friend who used to work for the local SPCA and I was astonished at how many of the babies there were Pits or mixes. There are so very many Pits in this area- I think it would be a great book for around here. I will be sure to recommend it to my library!
