Instead of your moderators coming up with three "themes" for the group to vote on ... we invite YOU to nominate a theme for May. Could be a specific genre, a cover image, a title word, an author initial...

ONE nomination per member
To encourage participation the person who nominated LAST month's winning theme cannot nominate this month. So, Sushicat, you won't be able to submit a nomination (though you WILL be able to vote).

Deadline: 26April16 (or 5 nominations, whichever comes first)

Once the nominations are closed, we'll set up a poll for membership to vote on the theme for next month.

Mother's Day - Main character is a mother (Book concierge)
Memorial Day - Main character is a soldier or has served in the military (Carol)
Kentucky Derby - Horse on cover or in the story (Jaret)
Teacher's Day - "Teacher" in title or Main character is a teacher (Marti)

In honor of Mother's Day ... I nominate "Main character is a Mother"

Memorial Day id May 30...I nominate "A book where the main character is soldier or has served in the military in some capacity.

May 7 is the Kentucky Derby. We could read a book with a horse on the cover or in the story or the story is about racing of some kind, etc.

The Tuesday in the first full week in May is Teacher's Day. I suggest we read a book with teacher in the title or a main character is a teacher.
