Ruth (tilltab) Ashworth | 2218 comments I didn't love the book, but there were bits I enjoyed, so I'm tempted to read on, though I already know there are going to be some bits I will hate. Spoiler for the end of the first book but I am also (view spoiler)

Since my mum liked the first book, I'll probably read the sequel if/when she gets it, as I don't think I liked the first enough to buy the second myself.

About your spoiler query (Minor spoiler for Book 2) (view spoiler)

I and others have mentioned, in other topic threads, that if you can wait then read Book 2 after Book 3 comes out.
Where ADSOM is a self contained story, Book 2 ends on a cliffhanger just as the story is getting interesting. Book 2 is the first half of a 2 book story arc.

terpkristin | 4407 comments Yes I read the sequel and now can't wait for book 3. I agree with what Tassie Dave wrote.

Darren Never say never.

Colin Forbes (colinforbes) | 534 comments I've added it to my to-read list, and will see whether it works its way near the top or gets buried under other other new additions. I'm not jumping in before book 3 is also available.

John (Taloni) Taloni (johntaloni) | 5194 comments I don't really have a to-read list and when I come to the end of a book, will start to see what might tickle my fancy. I'll pick from a list of preferred authors or just cast around.

Authors that have done good work in the past get a look. I'll keep this one in the back of my mind and if I remember around the time book 3 comes out, I'll probably get both. But it's no big deal to me if this book and author sink down below the point where others come first. The book was okay, but not enough to have me seek out more.

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1803 comments No. But I may watch the TV series.

Nathan (tenebrous) | 377 comments Eh, not a big priority.

Leesa (leesalogic) | 675 comments I might if it's on sale or something. I have a really big to-read pile and not much time!

Dharmakirti | 942 comments I am really enjoying the book (I'm only about 1/2 way through) and I will for sure pick up the sequel.

AndrewP (andrewca) | 2667 comments No, there are just far to many other books I want to read.

Bill (bsimoni) | 10 comments My library hold request just came through. I'm happy to read it, but not happy to have already learned that (view spoiler)

Ruth (tilltab) Ashworth | 2218 comments Thanks, guys, I will take your advice. And thanks for that little spoiler, Tassie Dave - I feel better about reading the second book knowing that.
