Hmmm. Well at least four them, their guilt is in question or case has been overturned or pardoned. Railroaded due to supposed inappropriate behavior? For example, Jason Baldwin listened to death metal, Amanda Knox turned cartwheels in court.

Lee, your first guess is true, but that's not what I was after. BZZT! Second guess, totally BZZT! None of them ever confessed.

Shelley, DING DING DING that is absolutely CORRECT! Not only was their guilt in doubt, but social movements and fundraisers and all kinds of stuff followed on the heels of these cases.
