[ Personality ]
If anyone is to be found spontaneously breaking into song and dance, that would be Ivy. She gets caught up in the excitement of the moment, and wants everyone else to feel that way, too. No one else (in her opinion) is as generous with their time and energy as she is when it comes to encouraging others, and no one else does it with such irresistible style (also her opinion). She loves soaking up attention and making every outing feel a bit like a party. Utterly social, Ivy enjoys the simplest things, and there's no greater joy for her than just having fun with a good group of friends.
Though it may not always seem like it, Ivy knows that it's not all about her – she is observant, and very sensitive to others' emotions; and she is often the first to help someone talk out a challenging problem, happily providing emotional support and practical advice. If the problem is about her, she is more likely to address it head-on rather than to avoid a conflict altogether. Ivy usually loves a drama and passion, but not so much when she is the focus of the criticisms it can bring, because she will have to crush her enemies and drink their blood (her words).
The biggest challenge Ivy faces is that she is often so focused on immediate pleasures that she neglects the duties and responsibilities that make those luxuries possible. She'd rather rely on luck or opportunity. It is important for Ivy to challenge herself to keep track of long-term things as there won't always be someone else around who can help to keep an eye on things, especially because she is a die-hard independent.
Ivy is welcome wherever there's a need for laughter, playfulness, and a volunteer to try something new and fun – and there's no greater joy for her than to bring everyone else along for the ride. She can talk for hours, sometimes about anything but the topic she meant to talk about, and share her loved ones' emotions through good times and bad.
[ Biggest Strength & Fatal Flaw ]
Ivy is pretty damn confident
Ivy's fatal flaw is that she does not stick around long enough to make lasting friendships. She will attach herself to a particular person/friend group, soak up the attention and then leave without a word when something more exciting catches her eye. She has yet to find someone or something to lock her down in one place.
[ History ]
Adelaide Ivy Heiden never had a really happy childhood, her father has been cracked out for as long as she could remember. Whenever her father was floating on cloud nine he'd get a little handsy with her and her mother would try to defend her and fights would always ensue, little Ivy and Carla would have to pretend the bruises were just from clumsiness. However, it was from an early age that Ivy knew she would need to take care of herself and she's always done so. It was just her and her mother against the world until Ivy was ten years old and her mother had to deliver her son as a stillborn. This moment destroyed Carla and she felt her only escape was to be continually on hard drugs like Tony. With two parents perpetually coked out of their minds, Ivy was free to most of her own devices.
At the age of sixteen, Ivy met Michelangelo and she finally thought things would look up, even though he was eleven years her senior she didn't mind. She believed that he loved her and it was with him that she began stripping. He told her that it was a release and it would make him happy because then their bills would get paid. She agreed fully, blinded by her love for Michelangelo and they lied about her age, just saying she looked young for the thrill of the men. And she was so loved by all of her customers, Ivy was good there was no skirting around it and she was happy. At least happier than she'd been with her family. Here she was loved and given the attention she so desperately craved.
Her world came crashing down when she found out that Michelangelo had been cheating on her with one of the other dancers, she was just too young he repeated over and over. He didn't want to get in trouble with the authorities for dating someone who was only seventeen at the time. She packed all of her things and ran away, moving from place to place and never really staying for too long. When she finally turned eighteen she was able to secure an actual job at one of the strip clubs in Clearwater (a place she'd seen in a brochure and figured was a good stop) and enroll herself in the high school, claiming she'd been emancipated at the age of 16. Ivy would spend her days studying like crazy and her evenings stripping, but she'd never complained, sometimes you have to do hard things to secure a better life.
Ivy has been running her whole life, part of her wants to find something or someone to anchor her, but the other part is just constantly afraid of the unknown and figures that running is her only option.
