Movie cast

If Hollywood decided to make a movie or TV show for the Cassie/Dory series, who would you choose to play each character? Let's have some suggestions for actors who could nail the part of your favourite characters.

Remember, your suggestions need to be actors. You might have seen a model who looks like how you picture a character, but if they aren't an actor, they're not eligible.

Here's a list of major characters, just for reference. I've probably overlooked a few characters, so let me know if you think of someone who's missing and I'll add them to the list. (I haven't bothered with minor characters. If someone really wants to cast one of them, just holler and I'll add them to the list.)

There are a couple of ways to play this. One is to use only contemporary, age-appropriate actors---as though casting a real movie. Another way is the Dream Team, where you can mix & match actors from different eras with notes like Johnny Depp in his twenties.

Maybe do "real cast" in this thread & sometime (later?) do Dream Team in another?

So I'm guessing they can use special effects to make an actor big enough for Olga or small enough for Bennie.

I'm not limiting the choice of actors in any way. If you want someone from the 1950s or an actor from when they were younger, you can do that. The only restriction is that they have to be an actor, rather than a model/other famous person. Just find a suitable pic and post it.

I haven't included the likes of Tami in my list because she has a pretty small role in the book and my list was already extremely long (and who can remember what Tami looks like off the top of their heads?!) However, if someone has a particular actor in mind for a minor character, I'm not stopping you posting about it. The list is only for reference.

Andrena, do you mean Flashdance Jessica Biehl when she was young?

How about Jessica Alba? Also athletic & with dimples. And I think she is in her 20s? (as Dory appears)

Tami is pretty, African American, 5'3", about 37 but looks older from stress.

Does anyone else like Deborah Kerr (star of The King and I) as Agnes? She came to mind the first time I read the Guy Fawkes scene.

Well we don't seem to have been overwhelmed with cast choices!!

In another thread, Maeve has suggested Matt Ryan for Pritkin and a few of you seemed to like that. Any other suggestions?

I suppose the obvious choice for Dory is Mila Kunis. I know a lot of us liked her look, though I'm not certain about her acting LOL!

I was looking in another book forum completely unrelated to KC and someone had suggested an Indian actress for a character in another book. I'd never heard of the actress, but I googled her and I thought she might have something of a Dory look about her.

Her name is Aishwarya Rai and here's a pic:

She's actually got a not-dissimilar look to Mila Kunis LOL!

I came across a pic of her that I really liked. Do y'all remember how KC talked once about Dory & Marlowe's backstory, and how Marlowe trailed Dory through a swamp and wanted to kill her? I came across this pic that really reminded me of that scene (and I know Dory's got short hair, but just pretend OK??!!)

Mila is the closest to how I picture Dory. The picture you chose of her especially, because in some others she's a bit too round faced for how I picture her.

I saw this lady, and thought she'd make a perfect Cassie if only she were blonde and had blonde colouring. If you use your imagination however, this woman is exceptionally cute, has big eyes, chubby cheeks, and that Kewpie doll thing Cassie has going on.

I can't get a picture or a link to work [sorry] but google Sarah Hyland and scroll about a bit. She looks more fitting in some pictures compared to others- the one of her in a towel reminds me one of the best scenes in TtS.
