50.1 - Perletwo's task: Primary Colors

Approving Witches Abroad (love that book!) and Long Long Time Ago.

Posting some ideas for approval:

Red: All approved.
Blue: All approved.
Green: All rejected, the greens are too light.

Book 1-Red:

Red: On embiggening, I had to decide this was a little too orange. It's quite close though, you're looking in the right direction.
Blue: Rejected. Too light a blue and not enough of it.
Green: Approved!

Both approved - Apple Turnover's in the task examples in fact :D

Thanks for checking! :)"
Urgh, this cover achieves the odd feat of being both too light *and* too dark, so no. (Finished that book last night though, fun stuff.)

No - it's the right color family, but it needs to be brighter green.

I was thinking of A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail (I don't know yet if it's half+ red or half+ blue, but figure it has to be one of the two, given the Appalachian Trail map)
Also, I want approval for Red State for Last Bus to Wisdom - over 50% takes place in Montana, at the beginning and then the second half of the bus journey.
Thanks!

Last Bus to Wisdom I can approve with no problem.
I think I want to check with the mods for a second opinion on Walk In the Woods - it's a while since I read it, but IIRC they start at the southernmost end of the Trail and start to crap out once they get into the Northeastern states. It's iffy; as good as that book is, it might be the better part of valor just to stick with a book set in one state.

Thanks!"
You are correct, they are both too aqua.
I've messaged the mods with the Walk In the Woods question BTW.

Rejecting all these - too light and/or not enough green. The green on Until Beth comes closest to the right shade, but there's not enough of it on that cover.

Red

Red: Approving A Teaspoon of Earth & Sea, The Blazing World, and Fortress Draconis. (The Rottweiler is the right red, but there's more black than red there, alas. Such a pretty cover too.)
Blue: Approving Coral, The Smell of the Night, and Strangers on a Train.
Green: Approving Titan and Shroud.

Afraid not - Now & Again is too pale a green. The other two have the right green, but it's on the dresses, not the background.

All approved.

do any of these work for blue?

green cover approved.
blue: approving What We Left Behind. The blue on Lake of Dreams is bright enough, but it doesn't cover enough of the background.

Thank you!

Okay got it. Looking for a deeper blue then if I want a different option. Thanks!

Lake of Dreams is already on the rejected list. Approving Flight Behavior and Survival Lessons.

DUH. I am so brain dead this week that I can barely remember what I am doing. I apologize for the duplicate question.

Blue:

Red:

(for green I've got one off the SJ list ;) which is good since I seem not to buy any books with Kelly/forest green covers!)
Thanks!

All approved. I wondered if anyone was gonna find that edition of American Gods :D

B1 - S. by JJ Abrams: set in a fictional university in Arizona.
B2 - Why Not Me? by Mindy Kaling: an autobiography set in NYC or LA, I really don't remember.
B3 - Twelve Years a Slave by Solomon Northup: is somewhere in the list. Maybe page 2 or 3.
