Merge/Delete Author Profiles

hello.

the following author profiles need attention:

* Mordecai Richler - La version di Barney
- appears quote created. correct author is here: Mordecai Richler

* A.S. Byatt (correct profile).
these following can be merged/deleted - again appears quote creation the issue, along with spacing after initials, and a '.' at the end of the first name linked:
- A. S. Byatt.
- A. S. Byatt

* Zadie Smith Aleksandar Hemon - no idea, 2 different authors - empty profile.

Fixed. Actually if there are no quotes or books or anything attached to the author profile it's fine to leave it. Empty profiles are supposedly removed by an automatic program at some point.

i had read that in another thread (for GR author profiles), but wondered how often that happens? so wasn't sure if i should mention that weird smith-hemon entry, just in case? seems to me it's been hanging around for a bit now. (but my memory can be terrible. heh!!)

The trick is deciding whether he should be A.S. Rappoport or Angelo S. Rappoport or Angelo Solomon Rappoport, assuming they are all the same person. The full name seems to be the least used.

A.S. Rappoport is the name he published under and which should be his profile in my view.

Angelo Solomon Rappoport is only used by public-domain publishers. Of course they will keep on doing that, so this name will regularly pop up again. But people searching for A.S. Rappoport won't find him under the longer name.
