Karen

Hi Marisa, I haven't read any of the series you listed, but since I'm a 60-something myself, I'll pick the Old Maids of Mercer Island since the heroine and her friends are in that age group. Go senior citizens!
Happy reading!

Hillary:
I am not familiar with any of your selections, but Jake and Laura Mysteries makes me think about Luke and Laura from a soap Opera I watched when I was home with my baby on leave 30 years ago. It was so long ago, I think it was General Hospital, but I do not remember.
But that is what I chose for you for May.
Hope you enjoy!

Hi, Jeanne,
I haven't read any of your selections myself, but they all look enticing. Looks like I have more authors to put on my TBR list. *sigh*
I choose the "Daisy Gumm" series by Alice Duncan for you. Several years back, I had an online writing instructor named Alice Duncan, and I believe these are her books. She was very nice and a good instructor, so I thought I'd pay it forward.
Let us know what you think. Hope you enjoy them!

Thanks Anna Catharina! I had started the first book in this series, but had not yet finished. Now I have the encouragement I need to tackle this series. It's a bit longer and a little off the wall, but I think it will be good...

I didn't know any of the selections you have listed, so I chose the Faith Fairchild series as it is one you've already started, and want to finish up, and that's what this Challenge is about for me...

I pick for you one of the series that I so enjoy and that would be:
Coffeehouse Mysteries by Cleo Coyle

Thank you Jill,
I love Rhys series as well, I've read most of the books in all of her series, and I do enjoy them. You should give Her Royal Spyness a chance when you're able, they are so cute!

Barbara, I'm not familiar with any of the series that you list, so this is difficult. But the Museum mystery series sounds really interesting (I'll have to check it out for me), so I am choosing that series for you. Jeanne

Thank you for picking this Stacie, I have loved this series but haven't read any of them for quite awhile. I do have A Cookbook Conspiracy in hardback from when it first came out. I'm so looking forward to reconnecting with the characters.

Thanks Hilary I do enjoy this series
Question from Jeanne:
Nell, another question. I listed the Daisy Gumm Majesty series for the May challenge (along with the other four), which is a new series for me. I read the first one and find that I really don't like it. Is it within the parameters for this challenge to have a different series chosen or, if not, what are the alternatives, if any? Thanks -- Jeanne
Normally the answer would be No, but since we are still in the selection period you can ask the person who picked for you (Barbara) to make another choice.
Your other option is not to read the book. It's not required. You can say you tried it and didn't like the series. Still you may want to give the author a second chance. Sometimes a series gets off to a rocky start and improves with the second book. Often it depends on what it is you dislike - the characters, the writing style, etc.
