SOLVED. Fantasy Dragon Trapped in human form and dropped into alternate world. [s]

A dragon is beaten in a fight with another dragon then sealed into human form and sent to a different world. He becomes a vigilante/detective while searching for magic books/ magic workers to learn more magic to break seal. His original world I am pretty sure was kind of a wreck but had high magic levels new world low magic high technology. Read it within the last 5 years and it was new when I got it.

Dragon has his ability to shapeshift taken away and has to earn it back in human form.

It is similar but not the book, I have read that one too I am a sucker for dragon stories. Thanks for the response though.

(SIghing happily) A new dragon book that I haven't read yet. I'll be adding it to MY TBR pile when it's found too. (Although the TBR pile is more like a TBR mountain range now, including electronic AND dead tree books.) Still, dragons are to be loved and enjoyed. And the whole eating people thing.....Well, everyone has some kind of unpleasant quirk, right?

Any interest in the Pax ArcanaCharming series by Elliott James? He's a werewolf rather than dragon but the vigilante bit fits if you like that kind of story. Was yours a traditional publisher or ebook? Do you remember anything about the cover?
