Dewin Anguas Barnette | 37 comments I hope this is the right place to post this!

I just scrolled down and saw that there is a book by Anita Moorjani below. I am about to go hear her speak at the IANDS (International Association for Near Death Studies) conference in Orlando in July. Just wondering if anyone else here is planning to attend.

Vikash | 9 comments I recently read a life changing book "The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer. It has help me in understanding the deeper aspects of life. I loved every chapter of the book.
However the chapter "contemplating death" is a real eye opener for me. I will be more than happy if anyone can suggest me books similar to that chapter.
Thanks

Untethered Soul is one of my favorite books too Kumar!

You might enjoy "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying" - not exactly in the same lines of the Untethered Soul, but it goes deeper into the contemplation of death as a spiritual practice.

Barbara | 127 comments I loved the Untethered Soul but don't remember the chapter "contemplating death". I'll have to read it again.

I also loved this book and the simple language it used, as opposed to some other books that seem to be too wordy for my little brain to keep up with!
Thanks for the recommendation Saiisha, I will check out "The Tibetan book of living and dying"

Hello I always like to read a non fiction and a fiction book. Currently I am reading:

Witch Wraith by Terry Brooks and

Writing Down Your Soul by Janet Conner (I am really enjoying it, not quite working through it as said but making sure I do the 30 days suggested and reading and thinking about all the book.)

Claire (clairemcalpine) During the two month period when we were unable to leave our homes, except for grocery shopping or 1 hour of exercise within a 1km radius I read Courageous Dreaming: How Shamans Dream the World into Being by Alberto Villoldo, just one chapter and a time, and each chapter began with a quote, that I noted and often found something on my daily walk that resonated with that quote, it gave me a kind of purpose, to notice the small things in my close environment and ponder the larger things through the inspiration of this book.

I reviewed it here on Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and went into even more detail in my blog review here.

I will definitely be reading it again, it holds such powerful insights that sink into the psyche and bring peace of mind.
